OK room but....
Sadly the review of the hotel has to reflect the sad dining experience we had there the previous night; after all, that was the reason for our stay. The service was warm and efficient, both in the evening and the morning. The bed and the room were OK, but the shower is impossible to use without totally flooding the bathroom. Breakfast bore the stigmata of the previous night (see my review in the relevant section). The croissants and other breads bits were clearly from the lower end of shop bought offerings. Surely a Michelin starred restaurant should be making its own - especially at 17 euros per head for continental breakfast. If these had been home made, then they really need to worry. Still, at least they were consistent.
A wonderful place to be
This is a precious place, the rooms are in a well done style and very comfortable. The highlight is certainly the dinner being served. Such a delicious and well presentet dinner is not easy to find itself worth a visit there
A wonderful overnight stay on the way back to Cherbourg
Fabulous food in an attractive and spacious dining room. The young waiter and waitress were very efficient, and there was a pleasant courtyard for aperitifs. Very comfortable room (Arabesque) with a separate shower room as well as the free standing bath in the room (in our opinion unnecessary). The chef / owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Nice place
Nice place. Charming room, nice bathroom, very goog bed. The hotel should review the noise of the VMC, which is permanent and makes the night disappointing and invest in a nice TV which is not at room and price level.
Nice property but a bit dissapointed by the experience
We stayed for 5 days at le Mascaret since we wanted to relax and discover a new part of Normandy. The spa was full all the time, and we coud'nt have dinner certain evenings, only breakfast were possible. Despite, telling the personnel several times that I was pregnant, no meal was really adapted to my conditon...
