Enjoyable Stay
Stayed at this hotel on August 22nd while participating in diving at South Florida Diving Headquarters. Was able to check-in early to my room which worked out well. Otherwise it would of been after 11 at night and just wanted to cleanup and hit the bed. The room was clean and had separate seating area with a television and a mini bar. AC worked great and room seemed very quiet. Wish the breakfast area had a better selection but understand Covid 19 prevents what I had been used to. Plenty of parking and several fast food places within easy driving distance.
Not what it used to be
We stayed at this property back in 2015 and again this July. The overall quality has really degraded and we did not enjoy our stay this time. The carpets were dirty, poor wifi connection, leaking toilette tank flapper, opened toiletries and not enough towels. My wife also found a long black hair in the bed that was not hers. There were also regulars staying at this property who were smoking in the pool area. Aren’t all Marriott facilities smoke-free? Bottom line, as a Marriott member I do not recommend this property and will not book here again.
Average is a stretch
I was in the South FL area on business and had stayed at a different property. I needed a one night stay to bridge the time until my family came to South FL as well for some vacation. This place just needs some TLC and updating. The rooms are fairly dated, carpets are dirty in the rooms, I have no idea what is up with the Wifi, but I have to reconnect every time my phone turns off. My favorite is the toilet seat that is not the right size for the toilet and will not under any circumstances stay up, so they offset the lid on the toilet tank to help the situation, to no avail. I'm in Marriott properties over 100 nights a year, so I've seen a fair share of them, and this one is towards the bottom of the list.
Not what it used to be!
Visited here years ago, the rooms were pristine clean. This last trip not so, attention to detail was lacking. Hair in bathtub and musty bedroom carpet. The breakfast is awesome, kudos y to the ladies who work so hard in the kitchen . Check in was a breeze, but please pay attention to detail. Housekeeping needs to fine tune the areas of he room. Marks in bathtub, old shower curtain and hair in The bathtub takes away from what has the potential to be a stellar property. Overall pleasant stay except for the housekeeping issues.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott on Yamato Road Boca Raton
We stayed from January 5 to 7 on points. My wife killed a roach in the bathroom around 11:30 pm on the 6th. For the rest of the night she kept all the lights on and we didn’t sleep. The hotel promised to give us back 17,500 points, but they didn’t follow through. We’re Platinum members and have been staying at Marriott Hotels since around 1983!
