More about the hotel
Solid standard and service
Friendly personel. Nice and Big clean rooms. (stayed in a small wedding suite) a breakfast buffet with lots to chose from. Also the location is very good and close to the city center, with shops and restaurants.
Nice hotel, good breakfast, good service but rigid on going the extra length
We stayed for nearly a week with an extended group for a series of meetings. The meeting room was pleasant and after some improvising the first day, the screen for projecting did do the trick form the 2nd day onward. Rooms are nice, breakfast and lunch well serviced... only 1 disappointment; returning with a group with quite a couple of people just before 23:00, there was no way they would be willing to serve us a beer.... they had finished the cash register for the night and not willing to go 1 extra step to help 8 people to a drink. Very disappointing end of a good couple of days
Quiet Comfortable Convenient Location
I was very comfortable at this gracious hotel while visiting family in Bocholt. My room was large and very quiet with a terrace overlooking the Asian-style garden. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the train station and close to the centre of Bocholt where there are restaurants and cafes. Nearby there are supermarkets and the river Aa for pleasant walks. Breakfast is excellent and includes cooked food. Staff are friendly and helpful. WiFi is free and quick. The only surprise was that for a hotel of this quality there are no toiletries in the bathroom, just liquid soap.

Very German: a four- star hotel, beautiful hardware, crap soft stills. We went down to have breakfast, a lot of big flies were gravitating around the meal. I asked the staff if they could Cover the food, they said flies were "normal" and should not be so demanding. Later in the evening, at around 21.50, I fancied a glsss of wine in the bar just to be told that it was closed. In a four - Star hotel, at that hour. The next Day I went down to read the news on my laptop, at around 14.00,, the room was empty, disturbing no one. The owner came in saying to leave as they needed to cover the table for dinner. I left just to notice that they did not Cover anything and the room was further empty. Consequently, I checked out one day earlier. When paying, as custode, I Iisted my complaints just to be told by the owner that I was nosy and arrogant. I replied he should be trained to Listen to customers and that his reply was not ok. I also said he should attend a course in customer service and that I was going to post this on Trip Advisor. He said he did not care.
Very dissapointing
The hotel is situated in the center, the mall is nearby and that' s the best thing I can say. The junior suite is quite expensive, rather small and has a odd and impractical shape. There is only one decent chair in a double room and worst of all: there's no airco. The room temperature rose to a tropical level and opening the patio doors means letting in the mosquitos and the noise from a rather busy road. The kingsize bed is actually consisting of two single mattresses which are way too soft. You have to pay extra for parking on the private parking lot. The owner does the checking out and he doesn't even ask how your stay was. Pay up and leave please ...
