Friendly staff, quiet, good area
We have stayed here on two occasions in a year. The staff were very friendly, though they do seem to have a high staff turnover (probably underpaid). You will need a phone with Google translate, or something similar, because like most of Bogota, there are not many staff that speak English. For longer stays, they can be convinced to give a discount if you pay up-front... and remember that there is always tax in Colombia which is not always included in accommodation prices. It is in a good location, with ATMs nearby, city close, and good public transport (if you speak Spanish). Nice and quiet, if you need to relax. I stayed with my daughter, and she found the staff wonderful... a few in particular. Overall, very homely, and a good experience... not the airs, graces and formality of many other hotels. They do laundry, they provide breakfast (if you like eggs done almost any way), and try to look after guests. I had a nanny for my daughter and they were helpful in providing for her as well, even though she didn't stay at the hotel. Perhaps a few fittings need some repair, and they appear to run on a very tight budget but I found it pleasant. Yes, there are a few cheaper places, but we enjoyed our stay. The only problem we had was that the WiFi was a little unreliable.
an awful experience
i`m from israel and i were on bogotà with mi son, an d on a web site They offered me the service of this hotel, but the service than they gave to me was very bad, to begin the personnel of the hotel ate in front of the huespeds with the included manager, besides the fact the girl who was on day turn in the recepciòn was very rude and apparently didn`t know english and said bad words to us., they offered us too a buffet but they gave to us a breakfast and we go out with the same hunger. Please treat well the foreign people order that they do not make still have badly to your beautiful contry. bogotà is very nice but the service in this hotel was very awful.
