Great two day stay

Stayed here two days for business with zero complaints. Great location downtown with anything you need walkable. Quality coffee shop in the lobby too. Friendly staff. Good sized rooms and bathrooms, well appointed and comfortable beds. Rooms have fridges. They also have bikes you can borrow. Nice, unique stay in Boise.
Clean and convenient location

Clean and convenient location. Easy walk to several restaurants and downtown attractions. Julia Davis park is walking distance. Trying to understand where to go on first arrival was a bit confusing. But after that got sorted out it was good. We did not take the advice of others to upgrade to a bigger room and wish we had. Parking is $15 either valet or self park.
Don’t stay here.

First, I didn’t realize housekeeping service was not done automatically as at other “luxury” hotels. You have to ask for it. So I asked for it and got a nasty surprise when I got back that night: the door to my room was left propped open by housekeeping and could have been entered by anyone the entire day. My computer, jewelry … everything was left vulnerable by the hotel. I called down to the front desk, asked to speak to the manager, and was left on hold. So I went down in person and told the front desk man that I thought being comped for that night was fair compensation. He told me his manager had offered me free coffee in the cafe. The hotel biz is a trade: I pay them a fee and in return they keep me and my possessions safe (especially as a woman traveling alone) and my room clean. At a “luxury boutique,” as the 43 bills itself, I expect napkins with my in-room coffee service, a room service menu, some literature about the amenities of the hotel and where they are, and a bathroom you can turn around in even with the closet doors open, none of which was true in my room. In fact, the sink was still dirty after the “cleaning.” I spoke to the higher-up manager the next day, and she politely informed me that if something had been taken, their offered compensation would be different. Boise will become my new home in a couple months. When family and friends come to visit, I will make sure they all have a lovely experience … somewhere else.”
Room available for tonight? Yes. But then, maybe not so much!

Called hotel to check on availability of a room for tonight. First, hotel representative said, "Yes, no problem." So, I explained that we would be paying for the room with a Hotel43 Gift Certificate good for 1 night stay. His response, "Well, for that, you will need to contact the property directly. He gave me the telephone number (same number that I dialed to get him in the first place). I selected the option to talk to the front desk instead of the option to make a reservation, and then repeated the same request to the front desk clerk. When I explained that I would be paying with a gift certificate, the lady at the front desk said, "Sorry, we have no rooms available for tonight." Makes you wonder if they avoid honoring Gift Certificates they have issued previously, right? Now you have it, now you don't. So, I reserved a room at another property nearby. Not anxious to use that certificate now.....

They picked me up at the Airport within 10 minutes- wonderful friendly gentleman who worked for the hockey team. Explained who JR Simplot was McDonalds French fries. Quiet, accommodations, perfect downtown locations, parking on street or parking lot, window opens in room with great view of sunset, air flight crews housed here, and quality staff
