Coronavirus Travel Restrictions
As there are travel restrictions in place from Ireland to Bordeaux all flights have been cancelled and I notified the hotel of this weeks ago. We were due to stay on the 25th June the Thursday before leaving for Cognac for a friend’s wedding that has been cancelled. The €203 booking came out of my account today. I have emailed the hotel looking for a voucher for the value for a future stay. I found their responses to date very abrupt and unsympathetic. We will see how they respond to my request for a voucher. R Gallagher.
Refined respite
If you find your travel plans including a visit to Bordeaux and would like to stay at a small refined hotel, then Hotel Singulier owned and run by a young French couple is exquisite. The rooms are lovely, the bath is luxurious and deep. Common outdoor space is relaxing and the location is perfect. The young proprietors are helpful with recommendations without being intrusive. Bordeaux is a beautiful city. You can easily stay a few days enjoying its rich history and sights.
Exellent location for explore Bordeaux!
This appartment where we was in not in a hotel, his not far away from hotel (300 m). Very ggod location next Porte Dijeaux. Small balcony with small table and two chair look strait the Porte. Appartment is big size for two people, good decorated with comfortable bed. Owner is very kind and helpfull. Wifi is correct. Around appartment is many restaurant, bakery and shops.
Exquisite style
We stayed at the most exquisitely styled luxury hotel in Bordeaux for 4 nights. The care and attention from the owners was fantastic and only served to increase our appreciation of their wonderful hotel.
I wish I had read more about the hotel before booking!
The hotel is brand new and spotlessly clean. The owners are a lovely couple that take pride in their property. The room was aesthetically pleasing and had comfortable bedding The sink and shower were good, but the toilet was tucked into a closet. If you have long legs, you will have difficulty closing the door. The hotel does not have a lift. The climb to our room was exhausting, especially after a great bottle of Bordeaux wine. The owners do not live on the property, so the hotel felt like an AirBNB. Breakfast was very simple. It was fine, but there was little selection, especially if you are staying multiple days. This might be the perfect hotel for some people, but I would prefer a larger property and especially, an elevator to take me to my room.
