Superb small hotel, elegant, fully modern, very friendly

A really delightful small hotel. The building is modern, but constructed and detailed in the traditional manner, very elegantly finished. Rooms are large and sunny, many have balconies. The employees are extraordinarily friendly and courteous, English is spoken. Very inexpensive for what you recieve. One of the best small hotels I have ever stayed at.

Return visit to this charming family run hotel

Returned here for a week's stay while visiting family in the area. Given a warm reception by the owners and given two large double rooms on the first floor. There is no air conditioning in the hotel but there was always a breeze to keep us cool. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis. After a few days we were given the chance to move to adjacent rooms with balconies on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel which were quieter than being at the front on the main road. This made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was continental style with yogurts, pastries, cereal, fruit, selection of juices, cold meats, cheeses plus tea or coffee served by the owners. This is a charming old fashioned hotel right in the centre of the town of Ronta. There is no swimming pool in the hotel but about 100 yards away there is a communal pool which can be used by anyone on payment of a fee of 7 euros per day which gives you a table, chairs and an umbrella. Sun loungers are available at an additional 3.50 euros per day. There are toilets, a snack bar and a children's pool on site. The pool gets very busy on weekends and there are a limited number of sunbeds so make sure you get there early on weekends. Otherwise the pool was quiet during the week.

We visited the restaurant for our Christmas lunch and it was great! Fresh ingredients, great service, nice location and very reasonable price. Overall excellent, definitely worth a try if you are in Ronta.

Old fashioned charm

Stayed in La Rosa on a bed and breakfast basis for one week in July. Hotel is charming and old fashioned with large bright bedrooms. Some of the bedrooms have a large terrace where you can sit at night and listen to the crickets. There was no air conditioning but the bedrooms were kept cool due to the shutters on the windows. Breakfast is on a continental basis with fresh, warm bread. The family who run the hotel were very helpful and attentive. There are no individual room safes but money is kept in the hotel safe behind reception. There is a sun terrace with plenty of tables/chairs in front of the hotel which sits on the main road through the village of Ronta. There is a swimming pool across the road which you can use for 7 euros a day. Here you will find plenty of tables and chairs, as well as sunbeds which are charged at 5 euros per day. If you like old fashioned charm, then this is the hotel for you.

Buon hotel tenuto benissimo ben curato e perfetto nella pulizia. Eccellente accoglienza e disponibilità del personale. Abbiamo soggiornato in occasione della sagra della castagna a Marradi e della raccolta delle castagne. Il ristorante è molto buono con piatti casalinghi ma ben cucinati. La colazione abbondante. La camera per tre con letto matrimoniale e singolo molto comoda e pulita.
