Great expectations turned into great disappointment

Booked for 2 nights, first impressions were great. Stylish and elegant building in Excellent area right near the river and Bosa town. We were given a free room upgrade, small balcony with river views. Bed was mezzanine up a spiral staircase which we quickly discovered was impractical and very awkward especially at night with the bathroom being downstairs. Breakfast was average buffet , coffee the worst we’d had in Sardinia. We took the Receptionist’s recommendation for dinner in their restaurant, but wish we hadn’t. The food was very over priced for what it was, the staff seemed uninterested and slow. Our steak main course was so tough and not cooked that we couldn’t eat it at all. We said we weren’t happy to pay for it, and we had to argue with the manager because the waiter lied and said we Had eaten it !

a smell of sewer and sub zero service

not worth the money... The smell of sewer coming from the bathroom that was on a daily base covered up with air freshener, made it hard to enjoy. In addition we were left on easter saturday without a dinner table, after the receptionist booked a table in the restaurant next door for 2 instead of 8 ... Icing on the cake .. lippy staff that didn't accept any responsibility... so yes a rather unpleasant stay throughout ...

Dirty tired hotel

Beautiful building , and communal areas . Very historic but that’s where the positive feedback ends . Rooms themselves are tired . And I don’t mean in keeping and aged I mean dirty and in need of renovation. Pillows hadn’t been changed were creased and there was hair on them. Bathroom tiles missing, blood on sink and grout black with dirt . We gave our feedback at the time of checkout as we only stayed one night but staff did absolutely nothing to apologise for the stay. Definitely not deserving of the glowing reviews seen elsewhere .

Lovely hotel with the best of old world standards

The title says it all. Old world standards without being old fashioned. It begins with a cordial check in by concierge Alessandro who showed us to our room and terrasse on the 3rd floor. Lovely, well appointed room and bathroom, the real plus is the huge terrasse with a view of the old medieval town of Bosa, just on the other side of the Temo river. Do try out the hotel restaurant. It is spacious, elegant in the best Italian tradition and food and wine are excellent. Breakfast in a lovely vaulted room is excellent, the scrambled egg are perfect! And do stroll around the lovely medieval town of Bosa, just over the bridge. It is extraordinarily well preserved and has lots of interesting old-fashioned shops, bars and restaurants.

Warm welcome by front desk, walked to room and shown around. Beautiful room, floors, stairs, bathroom, huge!! Upgraded to a room with Jacuzzi. A balcony with city view! Wonderful breakfast with pretty outdoor patio! Free parking across the street! Great location, right across the bridge from heart of Bosa! Just one recommendation, AC in room 103 was a little weak, we recommend to upgrade/fix it, as was a little warm in the room, but OK for 1 night.
