Business travelers beware

Business travelers beware. The have turned this hotel in a dorm room. Approximately 1000 student are living in this hotel. If you are ok with hanging with students, no restaurant open during the day and paying a high price to stay at a hotel that’s a dorm room. This is the place for you. My level is elite titanium..so I stay at many Marriott hotels. Im seriously considering using another hotel chain
Hotel Staff Was Incompetent

I made reservations at this hotel for a girls trip. Unfortunately I was not able to make it but the hotel let me add the name of the other girls to the rooms so they could check in. The girls all gave their credit cards when checking in. When they checked out the staff charged the rooms to my credit card and not the credit card of the occupant. I called to get this corrected and they said they would respond within three business days. I have heard nothing. I am now in the awkward position of contacting the gals and asking them to send me a check. How incompetent!

Room, food and especially service by Jules in Bar10 was fantastic. Bath soaps were favorites. Great room service. Hospitality great. Martinis were dependable. Excellent cabernet selection of full bodied.

We have stayed here several times over decades. The hotel does not disappoint. We love the location, the views, and the amenities. I might say somethings have declined, but I stop short because the pandemic does make things a bit different. We hope to return.
Hotel after Dropping Off Kid at School
Reviewed 17 september, 2021
I was in Boston for a couple of days after dropping off my son at school in western MA. This was a stay just to take a day off and get ready for a long flight back home. I stayed from Wednesday night to Friday morning and did not have issues with students in the elevators. The overwhelming impression from this stay was how "average" it was. The location of the hotel was a plus - two nearby shopping malls which can be accessed without going outside. Unlike other reviewers, I did not think there was a "wow" factor with the staff. Check in was fine. No issue. Concierge responded to questions. Nothing further. Need a cab? Advised to call Uber. There was no sense that anyone wanted to "extend an effort" to help or go the extra mile. The king size bed was not great. I like harder beds and came back with some back issues (to be fair it was either the hotel bed or the business class seat on the airplane back). Furnishings in the room were just OK and starting to look dated. I chose the Westin after looking at the Fairmont as an alternative. I will definitely try the Fairmont for my next stay and compare. Compared to other Westins around the world, I did not think this property lived up to the premium brand.
