Good, central location although does not live to the brand. Fair service, sloppy lounge with almost no food, paid parking. If you are driving, just stay anywhere else for half the price and probably better, updated rooms. Good supermarket nearby.
Not what I expected

I understand that hotels during this difficult time have limited staff to do many jobs. However I was really disappointed that this hotel wasn’t better than it was. They don’t serve breakfast every day and the website doesn’t reflect this. The hotel room was not thoroughly cleaned before our stay. I found dust in the room and more importantly there was an empty drink bottle under the bed. This shouldn’t have been difficult for them to find because the bed sits on a solid box on the floor. If they had actually swept the floor they would have found it. In a time of Covid where Marriott states that they are really cleaning the rooms so travelers feel safe, finding an empty plastic bottle in our cleaned room didn’t give me much comfort. Buff restaurant across the parking lot is where you should go for breakfast since the food is great and the servers are wonderful.

The hotel is starting to look like it needs a refresh. They used to have free coffee in the lobby but now you have to ask at the bar and it is $3.27 for plain coffee. If you want a special coffee, the helper will push the button on the Nespresso machine. Not a Starbucks at all. My room did not have a hair dryer. They did bring one up after I requested it. No free parking. If you want to go to Pearl Street, it is not walkable. Nor is the campus. Just want others to have a heads up.
Okay but not great

Our suite was decent but the hotel was lacking in a couple of areas - common areas weren’t as clean as they should have been (floors didn’t appear to be vacuumed, small pieces of trash were laying about). The hotel bar was odd - ordered 2 glasses of wine - the first pour was probably eight oz., the second pour was probably 4 oz. or less. The bartender was friendly. The front desk staff was helpful. We liked the free coffee and breakfast/snack options in the members lounge.
Not great and here’s why..

We stay at a lot of hotels and Marriotts and this one misses the mark unfortunately. $20 additional fee for parking is required but I knew that from the reviews. It’s not valet, it’s a parking garage. Coffee, we asked where to get coffee and they sent us off site even though this says there’s a Starbucks in the lobby. There is not. Apparently they are trying to train someone at the bar to make Starbucks but they are not equipped. Spa, this location literally says Spa in the title and there is not a spa. Not at all, and the local spas book out at least a week. Location, not bad but it is 8-10 minute drive the the main shopping walking, and 10-20 to major trails. So, this is decent. Breakfast, is not free or included. Noise, the walls are very thin. I was woke numerous times by people in the hallway. We are on the top floor with a Flatiron view. The room is very modern. Overall, if you want Marriott, the Residence is steps outside this and I would try that first. Ideally, try Bouldorado in downtown.
