Lovely hotel, nicely situated for exploring the town. The staff were excellent, going out of their way to assist . The bar area was a pleasant plae to relax and the room , was large and wanted for nothing (aircon excepted)

Wonderful Stay

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Most important was the comfort of the beds which allowed us to sleep very well every night. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. Big fluffy towels. Great maid service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Good choice of every type of food including some delicious local macarons. Although the hotel was full, we did not hear any noise from other guests in our room. Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times. Plenty of free parking. We were especially impressed by the helpfulness of the two people at reception when we checked in regarding parking, restaurant recommendations and map orientation.

very nice hotel in a beautiful town with character

I chose this hotel in the basis of its location and other reviews. I was not disappointed. The hotel is within easy walking distance to all sights within the beautiful town, is maintained to a high standard and has excellent staff. The outdoor breakfast and bar area is a plus during pandemic times.

Excellent Hotel and Restaurant, privilege room too small

We stay in this hotel often and it always comes up trumps. Staff,as always, charming and helpful. I was supposed to have a privilege room, it had the usual add ons but was very small, the bathroom almost unworkable. Aircon in room worked well, breakfast was very good but no gluten free except biscuits. Probably had the best meal of trip at the beautifully set restaurant. Altogether great.

Concerning during Covid

Just a one night stay in France. Nice guy at checkin and we were wearing facemasks but when I asked him about all the people drinking in the bar close together , no face masks and breaking Covid rules , shrugging his shoulders he told me it was the Hotel owner and his friends. I would have left straight away but it was 8pm at night so we went to our room . This was OK although the detailed attention to cleaning was questionable as there was dirty run marks on the glass door to the bathroom. We used loads of our own sanitiser! Later that evening I had to go to my car and noticed the bar was still busy , clearly breaking the regs. Breakfast was OK and the staff wore facemasks. This hotel clams to be following Covid regs on it's website!
