Went to this hotel on the weekend of 26th November 2021. Hotel is lovely at the beginning, except you try to enter your room, first day key card didn't work 3 times, second day didn't work twice, quite annoying as have to go to reception numerous times to sort out. Lady on reception was no help at all all she kept saying was their is a problem with the key cards. Manager had to come and sort the problem out , but wasn't able to offer no compensation for the inconvenience. Also the dining area was freezing cold to sit in while we were eating. I personally would not recommend this hotel, unless you want to run up and down stairs to sort your key card out and eat in the freezing cold.
Stay on Friday and Saturday 26th and 27th November

We were in Bournemouth and the weekend weather was freezing. Our room had no central heating and just a small electric heater which didn’t help. I shared a room with my Daughter and we were freezing all night. Friday evening it was really windy and windows rattled all night and we couldn’t sleep. The Saturday night we had to wear extra clothes in bed to try and keep warm. Shower not great either. Room decor could certainly do with a update. I would definitely not recommend staying here. Car park was full when we arrived both at front and back of hotel and is poorly designed.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

Bournemouth is bursting with lovely old buildings and Heathlands Hotel is one of them. We visited in October 2021 when Covid-19 precautions were still very important. The hotel had suspended room servicing and set a limit of 3 persons in the lift. I applaud their decision and fully support it. From arrival to departure we had a great time. Check-in was easy, and considering there was a coach full of us, it was fairly swift. We stayed 4 nights in an Executive Twin room which had everything we needed - comfortable beds, clean linen, plenty of storage, tea & coffee making facilities (with extra supplies available at reception), flat screen TV and an en-suite with bath and shower. Hot water was almost instant (the fastest I've encountered anywhere in the world) and complimentary toiletries were provided. Some of the light bulbs in the room were not working but they were fixed within an hour of reporting them. The dining room was clean and welcoming, the buffet dinners offered a choice of 2 or 3 starters, 3 mains and multiple deserts, all cooked to perfection. Breakfast buffets also offered a wide choice and were well cooked. I really enjoyed the food. I have only 2 very minor niggles - the TV wasn't tuned to receive anywhere near the full range of freeview channels and there was a very tatty old armchair in the corner of the room that was only fit for the skip. Would I stay there agian? ABSOLUTELY YES!
