The Hermitage Hotel

In this hotel the rooms are solid and well-constructed, so you hear less noise from adjacent rooms, in comparison to some other comparable hotels. The standard of cleanliness is generally high — thank you to the housekeeping staff. This is not an easy job. What is most impressive, however, is the assistance from the reception staff. i really do not have a preference .... — Helen is kind and helpful and always pleasant. Amy is sharp, clear and resourceful. Chris is always responsive and immediately helpful. Julia is very helpful and and has a laugh that makes ^me laugh! Finally, Manuel is a highly effective and conscientious manager. i have been told that he is genuinely caring and thoughtful — qualities that, i am sure, will carry him forward in life. All of these things effect a marked difference to your stay at any hotel. i have higher functioning autism and it appears that the reception staff have an understanding of my sensitivities — which makes me feel a lot more relaxed here. i would definitely recommend the Hermitage hotel. christopher

I stayed at the hermitage hotel prior to relocating to Bournemouth. The location is excellent, next the seafront and pier but also within easy access of the town centre. The staff and support team cannot do enough to make you welcome and ensure your stay is a pleasure. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel especially when things are back to normal.... you will not be disappointed!

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 6 months now as i work for the emergency services. For 5-6 days a week ive been staying here and i can honestly say i have no faults about the hotel at all. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Very professional staff always had answers to everything i needed to know. Friendly and a pleasure to be around. Check in for me would always be quick and easy. Temperature checks were always done and infection control is at a high standard. Every room that i have stayed in has been very clean and tidy. Every night of sleep for 6 months for me has been very quiet and the staff were very accommodating to me when they knew i was working night shifts. putting me in rooms with a more quieter surrounding - although this was never any issue with noise. Im always able to get a great sleep during the day ready for my shift. Ive not had much chance to have the food here as my shift times dont really allow me to have enough time to do this. When ive had a day off the food i have had was amazing. Very tasty and good prices. Overall a really lovely hotel which i will be continueing to use for out of work time for friends and family. Overall this hotel is good! Rooms are a little dated but our sea view had fabulous views. The lady on reception was very rude when I pointed out she had charged me for a extra bed and cott, when this was already included in the price with the capacity of 4 people I had paid for on my booking,I found this very embarrassing as she totally dismissed me in-front of other guests! after another lady working on reception looked at my booking and confirmed I had indeed paid for the family for 4, this was immediately resolved and I was refunded, although the original girl never apologised to me. Breakfast was delicious! Could do with a few more high chairs, but other then that service was great! Would return despite the rude receptionist, Maybe she was just having a bad day.

We stayed for one night here in December and had a lovely stay. Chris on the reception was very welcoming and informative, nothing was too much trouble! The room was clean, spacious and overlooking the sea which was a treat. Breakfast was really yummy and social distancing was well managed with table service only. Would go back.
