Very disappointed
My husband and I booked a package deal for our anniversary. It included 1 night stay and a dinner at the steak house down the street. When we entered the hotel it was beautiful and we got some nice photos around the garden area. When we got to our room i was instantly disappointed. Our room looked nothing like the photos we saw in the ad. We paid extra to upgrade to a room with the jet tub. I noticed the room was so out dated and dingy. The tub was falling apart and only one jet stream worked, barely any hot water. Cob webs in the corner of ceiling and you could hear a lot of noise, door slamming, water running from other guests. No toiletries were given instead they had soaps and lotion attached to the wall, you literally had to squeeze them to get product out. Gross on so many levels!! I also noticed the smell of marijauna the minute i turned the heater on. Yuck!! Our dinner at the steakhouse was amazing and we loved it there! When we left in the morning we went to get a breakfast only to find no food. They have a couple bagels, fruit and yogurt cups on the counter. No hot food, no juice.. Total disappointment. For what we paid for this experience i can say i will never go back. Ever!
Review
Overall, great experience. Very friendly staff. The hotel no longer uses "hotel style" comforters and instead uses triple sheets-- this was the one downside. We have stayed at this hotel twice, and both times it was a pleasant experience.
My recent overnight at Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel...
My girlfriend and I stayed overnight in the Mini Emperor's Suite and it was the PERFECT! We had a King-size Jacuzzi Suite, with a huge couple's shower, fireplace, fridge, sitting area! Very reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed! Mark Callen
Disappointed
I am currently staying at this hotel. I am highly disappointed. Would love to move to another hotel. Upon entering, the front desk clerk was friendly enough. Walking to the room, an immense smell of weed was down the hallway. The room is nothing special, bare floors, that are filthy. (My daughter’s feet were dirty). Bathroom only has toilet & shower. No shelves to put toiletries. I bought a small shelf so I could have a place for items. The sink is out in the room. The towels feel like sand paper. (I went out & bought towels. The garbage can in the room is disgusting. It is bent and rusted. We have a king sized bed. Not very comfortable, feels like it dips in the middle. The tv remote does not work. The tv stand could be replaced, it is broken. The continental breakfast is basic. Majority of the staff are unpleasant. (Only greeted by 1 person). I would not recommend this hotel, I will definitely not be returning for another stay.
Outdated and Disappointing
My fiance and I booked the Ti Amo package for a Buffalo Staycation on 03/19/21. A few hours before arrival, I realized that this was our first dinner/vacation out of the house since we had gotten engaged. Therefore, I called the front desk asking if there was anything I could do to surprise my fiance upon arrival. Sadly I was met with "You should've called earlier, its the dinner rush now and there is absolutely no time". I would've been happy with a balloon... Once we arrived, the parking lot was full of workers coming out the side door who were yelling obscenities and carrying large buckets of bleach. We brushed it off and entered the lobby. The male at the front desk did not smile, but checked us in without issue. As soon as you leave the lobby it becomes clear that the hotel is very much out of date. When we entered our room, the rugs were stained and the furniture was chipped. There were coins on the floor and trinkets under the dressers. The jacuzzi was wet...this turned off my fiance so much that we did not even go in. I must say that the bed and bathroom were very clean. We had dinner delivered to the room and it was very good. However, the TV remote did not work and we had to constantly get up to adjust the volume/channels. Perhaps the most unsettling part of the night, however, was the blood curdling male scream that came from the hallway at around 9pm (no explanation). The noise was loud from all sides for the rest of the night into the morning. Breakfast was nice (as much as can be done with COVID). Check out was smooth. However, we will not be staying at the Garden Place Hotel in the future. It just did not seem to be up to Salvatore's usual standards.
