Clean, typical hotel but could have been better
We were attending an Italian car event so needed Canberra accommodation. We booked this well ahead of time requesting a quiet room and soft pillows. Well, the room was quiet in location but the a/c was not! Pillows when we arrived were 4 very unyielding foam pillows I phoned housekeeping and asked for "soft pillows. The best they could do was 2 slightly less "bouncy" foam pillows! (Did I say, I HATE foam pillows. ) When we checked in having been given the "price" ahead of time, we were immediately hit with an "additional" charge for using Amex more than $13 for the two days! When it came time for sleep we discovered (my husband having come to terms with the incredibly complex controls on the wall for a/c ... I never did work out how to use that!!) He set the temperature and the incredibly noisy fan came on ... and on ,,, and on ,,, all night! I did NOT get a peaceful night's sleep! The main bright spot was the very helpful young woman on the concierge desk who sorted the way to use "Uber" for us (as country hicks we'd never had occasion to use it before) Only (sort of) bright note was mini-bar was complimentary!!! It was OK but as an International group (Marriott) hotel I would have expected better. No, wouldn't stay there again.
Watch the rates rip-off !
Stayed 2 nights. Charged $ 300 for one night and OVER $600 for the other ....same room, same person, same hotel. This can happen in Canberra but these guys are really taking it to a new level. Loyalty doesn’t count & management don’t care ..... “ sorrry sir, but we were heavily booked that night’. Try The Avenue down the road fist. Just as good !!
Great Experience midweek two night stay
Firstly, the staff at this hotel are lovely, especially the staff in the restaurant. The front desk staff are welcoming and friendly. The pool and sauna are great. The pool is narrow though and I can imagine it would be a bit cramped with a few people in it. Hotel is very clean. The room was fairly small but very comfortable, quiet and had a roomy bathroom with a big shower. The TV was awesome. We loved how modern it is. The bed was so comfortable. Very reasonably priced for what we got. The stocked mini bar was wonderful. Our price included breakfast was lovely and generous to include two drinks, a main and a side. Would definitely recommend. The only downfall and I suppose this must be common with five star hotels was some of the snobby people we encountered who wouldn't smile at us in the lifts or acknowledge us. This isn't a reflection of the hotel though. Thanks Midnight.

I live here, just for the record. 10pm - 12.30am (as I write this). Front desk guy is right outside talking to his mates loudly and some chick with a god awful laugh. Called the reception at 12am. No answer. Yeah no sh!t no answer, old mate wasn't even in the building. I expect noise on a Friday or Sat night, but it's a Wednesday night, and I'll need to be up in 5 hours for work. Oh, and again, this is someone you employ. Cheers. Expect better from your staff, Midnight.
over charge and not great Place to stay.
Never ever book in this Hotel because the They are scammers and they over charged their guest unknowingly . This Motel should close immediately for doing this unlawfully. This must be stop as soon as possible or else someone will have this kind of trauma by paying unwillingly
