Habitaciones bonitas y afrancesadas, si bien un poco caras

Como fue uno de los primeros B&B en el que nos alojamos en Inglaterra, nos pareció caro (80 libras la habitación doble con baño, teniendo en cuenta que la libra es aproximadamente un 25% más cara que el euro). Luego ya, a medida que íbamos visitando otros destinos británicos, quedamos curados de espanto. Las habitaciones son de estilo afrancesado, muy cuidadas, con estilo, aunque un poco pequeñas. La ubicación es buena: en menos de diez minutos caminando por el paseo marítimo se llega al centro-centro. Para desayunar hay diferentes opciones de English breakfast, está rico. Y, como en muchos de estos alojamientos, escaleras a tutiplén un poco complicadas de subir con la maleta.

Couldnt not book via airbnb they kept canceling it went through the whole provess so many times shambles absolutely time wasted they need to sort out their calendars
They probably do not even have the rooms would not recommend booking them it takes tok kuch time

As a one night stay before a wedding in Brighton we arrived 2.30 pm found a parking space right outside hotel
A text had been sent while on way and when we got there a friendly family members greeted us and we paid the £10 parking for 24 hours they were as surprised as us that we found a parking space outside
We had a 2 floor stair hike to the room but a spacious room clean and tidy plenty of tea/coffee and clean bathroom
We got to room breakfast menu on side so we then text our order and went to the sea front which is very close
Breakfast was lovely and arrived on time we had a smoked salmon and cream cheese 🥯 with orange juice which was lovely
The room was hot but window open most of the time even when we went out yes a fan in room if needed
When in Brighton again definitely will try this hotel again x

Unfortunately the amazing breakfast I kept reading about was not available but the alternative was ok a ritzy breakfast roll and juice were delivered to the room after preordering the night before..It was nice but i feel this breakfast alternative now needs to be reflected in the room prices as looks like this will be on going. The room itself (room 9) was comfy and clean with the added benefit of a fan and lots of organic, vegan soap,shampoos etc and coffee, tea bags for refreshments !! Being at the top of the house up 5 flights of stairs is no mean feat so i wouldnt advise this room if you have any issues climbing narrow stairs...Overall this is a lovely guesthouse, with a great location it was comfy and they go the extra mile without you actually seeing anyone..

I don't normally leave negative reviews but encountered a number of issues during a recent stay here.
Great location. Short walk to beach, pier and centre. Close to various places to eat and drink in Kemptown.
Received text on day of arrival to say check in was self service due to Covid precautions, and code given to get into building. Keys and pre paid parking vouchers were waiting on reception desk on arrival.
Room 6 was OK, spacious and with comfy bed. TV and table covered in film of dust. Window would't stay open so had to wedge bin under for fresh air as room was very hot. Bathroom needed a good clean. Mould around shower door and on wall. Room only serviced if staying 4 days or more. Had to text owners for extra towels, which were left outside door, but used towels not removed.
Website is misleading and needs to be amended. Breakfast is not the extensive menu as described, far from it. Informed via email that due to size of breakfast room, unable to open it in line with Covid restrictions and to keep staff and guests safe. However other guest houses seemed to be serving breakfast as normal. Breakfast now is a choice of the hotel's Ritzy Rolls or granola and yoghurt or porridge and you have to text your choice to owners. If I had been aware of this sooner, would have cancelled. While the brioche roll was OK, it's more of a snack and not really filling enough for breakfast. Food is left outside of room and removed from room during the day. Unfortunately whoever removed them didn't bother closing room door properly and it was left unlocked and open all day on 2 occasions. Texted owner who only responded with an apology, blaming the cleaner, after second time it happened.
Did not see owners or any members of staff or other guests during our stay. Felt very impersonal and soulless. It was as if owners didn't want any interaction with guests at all.
