Good but not great

Very old fashioned hotel in need of freshening up. Bar are was very nice, we didn't eat here so can't comment on food. The room was very old fashioned and didn't feel particularly clean. The windows opened straight onto kitchen roof with fans! We had a whirlpool bath, it wasn't clean, and the bathroom in general was mouldy around seals and window frames. Sorry can't say more positive things.

Friendly, efficient staff, ample parking, spacious, clean well-appointed room with comfortable bed, good bathroom and the bar is open till 11! The good quality all you can eat breakfast was a great start to the day. Thankyou, we’ll be back 😁
Great value , clean and comfortable with a lovely breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay which far exceeded our expectations given the price of the hotel. Free parking, really comfy bed and spacious room. Everything worked - had a lovely deep bath in the morning. All staff were approachable and friendly - great service all round. The breakfast was very well cooked with enough variety to satisfy most people. The building itself ( an old Nunnery) was beautiful with some lovely features . Bar was quite reasonable with decent choice of gins and wines. Best of all for us it was dog friendly ( we brought our own dog bed and bowls) . Restaurant closed on a Sunday night but we were given plates and cutlery for an amazing Indian take-away ( from the Curry House around the corner) . Will definitely be back.
Lovely afternoon tea

My family and I had a lovely afternoon tea after spreading my parents’ ashes at Arnos Vale cemetery. All the food was very fresh, sandwiches generously filled, scones warm & plenty of cream. The staff serving us, the lady from Liverpool and the tall young man with dark hair (I’m hopeless with names!) were excellent Really impressed at such a reasonable price
Just an overnight work stay.

The heating was off (28th Sep), had to request a heater which was quickly provided. Hotel could do with a bit of an update. Was directly above all the aircon units so noisy all night. On a plus side the staff were super helpful and the redhead is cute :-)
