More about the hotel
disappointed
Lady at desk - great. Overall appearance of the room good. Then tried to use refrigerator to keep my medicine in... broken and dirty. Freezer works but is disgustingly dirty. Ice machine is broken. Mattress is won out, had to work at not rolling into middle. Blood on the outer shower curtain. Would have been a great value however needs tender loving care to give a fair product for a fair price. With all that was dirty or broken very overpriced.
Very Clean Hotel
I stayed at the hotel for a Dr.'s visit and it much nicer than the reviews stated it was. A little busier than I would like during the time that I stayed, but it was a weekend. I will definitely stay here again!
Average at Best. Photos are a bit misleading.
Looks like this place just got a fresh coat of paint on the exterior but it is an average motel at best. Doesn't have a full time desk employee, but a bell for after hours and it appears that the employee lives there. Check in was easy. Room was clean and had the essentials. Two beds, TV, fridge, microwave, sink, toilet, shower, end table and a small table and chairs. A/C was noisy as was the ceiling fan. Some mold in and around the tub and shower. Bed was fairly comfortable. We had paid for three people, but only had two towels, when we requested more the desk attendant made us prove we had paid for three people before he would give us any extra towels. We checked out before the office was open the next morning and had to leave the keys in the room. Lot's of truckers stay here and come in at all hours.
Wet Monday!
My wife and I are truck drivers and we are frequently in Brownsville for work. I was sick Sunday night(the 11th), so I stayed at Crap value inn where I could hear every person within a mile of my room it seemed, and this was all night. So no rest for the weary. My wife picked up our load and I tried to rest. Around 10 am I went down to the lobby to wait for her to pick me up. She was only a few miles away. Needless to say the usually 10 minute load time took over an hour while I sat in crap value inns lobby where the whole time I never saw one person enter the facility and the phone rang twice. Promptly at 11 the manager informs me I must leave the premises? It’s raining outside and I have no where to go until my wife gets here. I was going to just pay for another night, but I was miserable there and nuemonia seemed the better choice. So I am wet, cold and my wife just informed me she is a few minutes away. Had I been able to wait a few minutes more no one would know the about my “Wet Monday” and restless night. Unsure how they can solve the noise problem, but a little kindness cost nothing....
Could use maintenance.
Took my family for labor Day weekend. We got a upstairs non smoking room but the room still had a odor to it. The room it self was spacious with a fridge and microwave. Found a dirty bucket under the ac unit. The floor didn't seem clean at all it had grease smudges all over especially in the restroom. We stayed there 3 days and 2 night not once did we get house keeping to take out the trash or replace dirty towels. The breakfast was bland just cereal or waffles.
