Great place to stay rooms were awesome, clean and comfortable. Centrally located for easy access to the area. Very friendly staff. Great menu, large servings. Quick service and well cooked and presented. Would highly recommend
Comfortable
There are 8 funky little buildings with triangular decks and fabulous views. They are spacious and comfortable with basic cooking facilities, beautiful bathroom and huge TV. However, it’s no use having cooking facilities if there are no chairs to sit on to eat! A small table and chairs on the lovely deck would be great to take in the afternoon sunshine and the sunset too. Bedside tables on both sides of the bed would be good too. A few extra bits of furniture would make these “lodges” fabulous.
First impression’s good
When we arrived I was very impressed by the look of these ‘lodges’. They have the most amazing views and very comfortable beds. To see the view you have to have all the curtains open so the afternoon sun pours straight in making the place extremely hot. The way the split system air conditioner is placed it does nothing to cool down the sleeping area. You can’t leave the doors open because of the insects. There are no fly screens on the doors. The ones on the windows were very dirty. We had to wash the crockery before we could use it. The glasses were stuck to the shelf and the cups , well I’ve attached a photo. The kitchen is too small to prepare anything so it’s probably a waste of space. Not good value for money.
Stay at hotel Bruny Lodge
Not all they say in the info is correct. There is no bath, there is no wifi, it won awards for design with nowhere to hang a bath towel so they “ echo friendly” give you clean ones every day!(?) . There’s one chair for two people to sit on.. one lucky person gets a bedside table, the other doesn’t. It’s vey nicely fitted out with what they have done but it’s failings only earn it a three. We had three nights and each clean got less and less. A call to the management failed to get any response. Shame cause it could have been so much better. Hope it improves these small things as the scenery is spectacular!
Luxury Cabin-good stay
Stayed there for 2 nights - surprised birthday gift. Nice Cabin with good view but not so great landscape. Should wack some bushes so we can see the ocean better. Clean with big windows. A bit pricey $250/night we paid. Food and small grocery within the premises. Very nice place for a bit deep pockets. Great food and wine. And if you order to go and eat at your cabin, can save $10... lol an order. Pretty crowded. Seem like the only decent hotel and bar on the island??
