Dirty and broken down
We had problems immediately after checking in. We went to our room only to find it occupied. Went back to front desk, clerk made us wait while she checked in someone else who arrived after we told her about people in room. She then told us no rooms were available. I called corporate and they had her take stuff out of room..illegal.. That room had been rented . While we were in room, woman who had rented the same room 2 hours prior walked in on us.. so we were given a used dirty room. No hotels near there available because events in area. So we stayed in room with sticky stuff with hair on floor, found an earring in middle of room, microwave very sticky, fridge had visible food spills, and sink would not drain, so pulled out stopper it was black. Sofa couch broken. Room was large. Bed okay. Not too noisy. Staff not trained well. Breakfast lacking in fresh items. Choice brand seems to be not so choice.
AGGIELAND (FOOTBALL GAME)
Fairly new, hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean along with the dining area. Not to far from Kyle Field and North Gate. I highly recommend staying here. Great price for game day. Great Job!
Mold
Drove down for a program at A&M Checked in online sight unseen. Our room had water damage/mold around the air unit. We were shown 2 other rooms which had the same. Another person was also checking out due to this. Seemed it was different floors but all facing the same direction. Front facing rooms! If you have asthma or and other respiratory issues I would not recommend this hotel!
Not a Bad Stay; Rooms Need Work
My husband and I were getting married in Bryan (on an Aggie home game weekend), so we decided to opt for a low key hotel and not spend entirely too much money (we did just pay for a wedding). Checking in was a bit slow, but understandable. The lady working the front desk was trying to handle a multitude of issues over the phone. I work in hospitality (and have for the past 10 years), so I understand it happens. The lobby was nice, and had a beautiful water feature as you walk in the door. The room we received I believe was in upgrade and it was larger than I expected; this was pleasant. The rooms and interior hallways were not well taken care of. I feel the hotel is being neglected. There are repairs that need to be done. While I understand that even minor fixes are expensive, there are many inexpensive ways to maintain the look of your rooms until you can fix them. This was the most unacceptable thing for me. The staff was friendly, especially the breakfast attendant. The breakfast itself wasn’t the best our party has ever had, but it did the job. I felt safe. The room we were in was facing the highway, but we couldn’t hear it. Overall a good stay.
Going for a Wedding Shower
We arrived about 2:30 knowing check in was 3:00, but hoping we could get in because we had traveled 3 hours with a baby in the vehicle. His first long road trip. The SUPERVISOR on duty was very rude about letting us in our room 30 minutes early. She said we had 40 check outs this morning and this is my managers policy. I asked her to please call her manager and there was no way there wasn't 1 room available in the hotel establishment. She then gave me a room. Never said anything, Kiss my butt, hello, thank you or anything. Very rude. The room itself was nice. We were confused on the A/C. Wall control and then a vent control. We could never figure it out. Tried calling several times and no one answered the phones. Breakfast the following morning was less than desirable. I think the milk was sour. I took a drink and spit it out. The food was not good. Very poor selection.
