I always like to start off a review by stressing that you should take most reviews with a pinch of salt - as things like customer service, cleanliness, food, and location are all based on each individual person's own personal opinions - and we all have different standards and expectations. We had a room to ourselves which was very large. The room had three beds, desks, and kitchenette. Also a separate shower and toilet rooms, which would have been good if sharing with strangers. As we were on a football trip, this was all we needed. A couple of issues (1) room was not that clean looking and bin was not emptied (2) no air conditioning. We stayed in July 2018 and the humidity in the room was unbearable. I would not stay here again for that reason alone. ly for a couple of nights in July 2018.

We’ve booked 4 nights at city hostel westend in February, 2 weeks before the check in date they send us an email inform that the hotel just open for our second night and than suggest this one and we accept. The conditions in Corvin hostel are hawful. The toilet still has toilet paper in it and the shower still has hair on the floor. The room was too hot and no air con available (or even a fan). The location is not so good as well. Actually we don’t pay as much but at least the minimum conditions must be applied.
OK for a couple of nights

Pros: Great location near the railway station. Budget price. Nice and helpful staff. Cons: they provide no towels. There's no air conditioning (the room was hot as hell!, we really found it difficult to get asleep, and then woke up drenched in sweat). The fridges in the kitchen are really noisy (maybe with one fridge would be more than enough ...).
Very good value for money

It is very cheap. For 4 days and 3 nights we paid 75 euros for two people: from 19 to 22 August. The room looks like a student room: 2 closets, 2 tables, reading lamps over each bed and a lot of shelves where you can place your luggage. Good location near to the main rail station, internet, fridge, shower and toilet. In the room there is no air conditioner or fan. Terrible smell in the kitchen. I advise you to buy toilet paper. Hostel is located next to the discount supermarket "Penny". Also, towels is not included. Very nice and helpful staff. Recommended for travel with friends.
Dont go here

Booked this place just to spend the night after Sziget festival but in the end couldn't do that either. Waited for a room for half an hour, when I finally confronted a desk manager she told us the cleaning ladies cant clean this fast. They had 2 cleaning ladies for a 100 rooms at the time of the Sziget festival! They did offer us a room on fourth floor but warned us it's boiling up there. Because we needed to go to the festival we ended up with not staying a single minute in this place. Sad.
