Terrible, rude staff
We arrived for 1 night at the end of February 2020. We booked the executive rooms. Upon arrival, the receptionist told us that we have free breakfast. We arrived at the restaurant the morning after, ate the cheap, lame and minimal continental breakfast only because it was included, and then upon checkout the rude reception manager “Marie” demanded that we pay 21CHF pp for this horrible breakfast. The rude Marie spoke to us in such rudeness, we couldn’t believe we were in Switzerland, a land celebrated for its good service. Would recommend never to go to this hotel, which is old and overpriced.
Poor customer service
I was supposed to stay at the the hotel for 2 nights and I had to cancel cause I couldn’t come to Switzerland. I called the hotel the day before my reservation to avoid cancellation fee and the receptionist made me paid cause they waited the morning after which was the day of my reservation to call me and make me pay for one night. I’m more than upset since I’m working in hospitality and never saw something like it. This hotel should be manage better and the staff should know their rules and regulations. I’m never gonna book this hotel again.
Expensive and simple
Arrived at 1330 staff was ok. Opted for the big rooms with aircon. Executive rooms are quite big but still very simple. Beds are good. Shower is ok. Breakfast is soso. Alot of parkingplaces around the hotel. Unguarded. Aircon broke down at night. Staff gave a decution on price due to this, which was very nice. Still €177 a night plus breakfast.
Excellent in all aspect
Stayed for a night and ate at the restaurant. The front desk service was excellent and Eric the team leader in the restaurant was always smiling and very enthusiastic. The room are very roomy and clean.
Poor customer service
My wife and I received a gift card to spend a night in this hotel. When I called to book a room they told me to call back in 5 min, 2nd time I called they told me again to call back in 30 min... Finally they've reached out to me and I said that I want to book executive room on desired date. Response was yes, you can book, we have several available (7 to be precise, which I checked prior to calling them). The moment I said I will use a gift card they said: "You can't book it on that day, this is only for people that pay. I replied: "What do you mean for people that pay, for gift card you pay as well" then receptionist responded: "You can only use Friday and Sunday" otherwise you have to pay... The gift card terms were you may book all year long when the room is available. After going through several emails I couldn't come to agreement with them since they didn"t want to comply with gift card terms and were inventing reasons not to book us a room on desired date. I've never expirienced such a bad customer service. For the hotel itself I can't give a review since we decided not to visit it due to reasons above mentioned.
