Great stay
We stayed at the Marriott Springhill Suites in Burbank for 2 months. We had a great stay, the rooms are very large have a sitting area with a couch with a microwave/mini fridge. The staff made us feel like home especially Adrian at the front desk. He welcomed us from the moment we arrived giving us great info to help make our stay enjoyable! Also loved Shawn the overnight manager at the front desk, so helpful and friendly. Jenny the manager, Rochelle & Tatiana were all great too! Little things like that when your staying somewhere for long term help make you feel at home. Would for sure stay again next time we’re in LA. Great location, walking distance to downtown Burbank and a short drive to LA.
Good base for movie studio
Our family do have a preference when we travel to find a Marriott brand, like Spring Hill or Residence Inn, as they are some of the most convenient accommodation arrangements for a family of four. We find that the franchise tends to be pretty solid to address our needs. This Spring Hill Suites in Burbank is no different. We had no problems with the service, rooms are fine, and breakfast is still pretty good. Burbank provides a convenient base to explore major LA attractions, especially those related to the film industry (thinking Universal and Warner Studios). In addition to that, at the time of the booking, the rate was pretty competitive with some rooms still available. Nothing much wrong with the hotel, except perhaps that the location is about a couple of blocks from downtown (a 10 minute walk) but it is 2 blocks from an Ikea (in the other direction) with a bit of an "industrial" vibe, but didn't really feel unsafe. If you want to find a good base to explore Universal and surroundings, Burbank provides a good alternative with more decent accommodations, rooms that fit a family, and a good buffet breakfast. I think it was a good choice.
Awesome Marriott Property in the Heart of Burbank!
What a great stay at this property. The staff was outstanding, especially front desk member Rochelle. My bag didn't make my connection and she helped identify the best place to go and do my late night shopping trip so I had things for the next day. The Room was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room, comfortable room with a functional thermostat! Breakfast was pretty typical, although a little weird to have to make the waffles on the other side of the lobby in the bar area, but it worked. The parking is secure and covered and access to the property is really easy. If you are looking for a one night layover or home base for your LA trip, this is a great choice. Will for sure stay here again, when we return to the Burbank area.
Do not stay here unless you like hot rooms with no ability to control A/C!
Do not stay at this property if you care about controlling the temperature in your room. When I arrived at this property late in the evening after a flight from the east coast, I entered a very warm and stuffy room. When I tried to lower the temperature using the room thermostat, I found that I was unable to set the temperature lower than 69 degrees, and a lock symbol appeared. Moreover, when I tried to activate the fan to get some airflow, it had no effect. Also the supply duct (high on a wall and well out of reach, had all of the louvres shut closed, so there was no ability for air to flow) The room was definitely much warmer than 69 degrees F. I visited the front desk, and the evening manager on duty informed me that the thermostats are "locked" for energy conservation purposes, and that yes, the louvres on the ducts had been closed due to guest "noise complaints." As a Platinum level Marriott Bonvoy member paying almost $400/night for a room at a Springhill, sorry I should be able to pick my temperature. No acceptable remedy was offered. I departed and stayed at a nearby Hilton which was great. Really bad experience. Really bad policy toward guests at this property - knowingly and deliberately sacrificing guest experience on the altar of electric utility bills. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Great base for Los Angeles Sights
Let’s start off with the customer service here - it was great, everyone was super friendly. The hotel is in a great location for the major LA sights - driving to Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Bowl, Walk of Stars, Rodeo Dr, Santa Monica was pretty easy. Just a few block walk and you’re in the restaurant and bar district of downtown Burbank. Uber/Lyft are easy to catch. The rooms are nice, newer, but ours had a very musty smell to it. Breakfast is included and was a very nice spread of warm (eggs, sausage, vegetables, oatmeal) and cold items (pastries, cereal, yogurt). Parking is attached for an additional fee - self park with in/out privileges. They have an outdoor pool, fire pit (which never was on) and some other activities. We would stay here again, as it was super convenient.
