Although the hotel was okay, dealing with reservations to this establishment is a nightmare. I was, unbeknownst to me, tossed into an Expedia office. They said the room rate was $134.12. I still don’t know if even that is true. Anyway, by the time they added ‘taxes and fees’ of $50.88, plus a ‘service fee’ of $14.99, my total bill came to $199.99. In a town where the hotel tax is 10.8%. Call the hotel directly at 541-573-1700. Good advice anytime for phone reservations.

I imagine you could do worse in Burns, but if you choose this place because you are going to a few bucks over the competition like I did, you're probably not going to be impressed either. The beds are not generous (queens), the hours on the pool are something goofy like 3-9 and the 'breakfast' is an embarrassment to anyone who has eaten a meal before. All of that being said, the place is clean and functional and gets the job done.

Clean and comfortable

My husband and I were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed. We would stay at this hotel again if we were in the area. One note, the pool is closed until further notice due to covid. We didn’t miss the pool as that’s not why we chose this hotel, but thought others might like to know.

Ok hotel

This hotel is a decent place to stay in Burns. The room had a balcony and that was an unexpected bonus even if there wasn't a lot to look at. My caveat - I specifically chose this hotel because it had a pool and my kids really wanted a pool after traveling through triple digit heat all day. We got there at 8:55pm and found out the pool closes at 9 instead of the hotel standard 10pm. But it opens again at 7am so I figured it wasn't a total loss. In the morning, we put on our swimsuits and discovered the pool was closed for maintenance. So that was all a bummer and I'd probably choose a different place in Burns or Ontario where I might have a better chance of getting a dip after a long drive.

Nice hotel

We made reservations online a month before our trip and noticed availability was hard to find in this area. We were driving from Des Moines to the Oregon coast and had a timeline so on the day of our reservation when we received a call around 4pm from the location we were surprised and a little nervous. The hotel wanted to confirm that we were checking in and also check our credit card on file. We told her we would be there n about 3 hours noting the time change crossing time zones. We arrived at 6:45 and were greeted at the desk by a friendly woman who again asked for all of our information. We questioned this was the third time we were sharing credit card information and she said the computer system has not been working well. It made us nervous but we needed the room so we again gave everything and were given the internet, parking, accommodations information. The price seems a bit high from what we are accustomed to for what you get, but is in line with the area and availability. (About $135/night). The hotel is the style where doors are both from the hallway and from outside (first floor; second floor offers balconies with chairs). We had a first floor room with nose first parking up to the room. The room was very clean and neat, had a small fridge and microwave and the typical hotel room. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were not the best - a little flat and hard. If you are a light sleeper you might hear the fridge running, the neighbors TV and people above you walking around. It wasn’t loud enough to bother me or keep me from sleep, but I was aware of the sounds and my husband slept like a rock. Breakfast is a pastry and coffee is available either in room (small pot) or in the lobby. We grabbed coffee and passed on the pastry, instead having breakfast down the street at Apple Peddler. We would recommend this location overall - great service and nice rooms.
