Hotel Mercure Algeciras

I really enjoy staying here at this hotel. The main thing with it is the room I am staying in and the fact that It has its own kitchen and I am thus able to make my own food. It also has a washer so I am able to do my own laundry. The staff is helpful and I get my room cleaned when I like. The parking spot in the basement behind a locked gate is also nice. The gym that belongs to the gym covers my needs. It is on a pretty good spot, not too far away from the city center and with walking distance to playa Riconcello I would consider it a pet friendly hotel.

We had a large room with outdoor balcony at the hotel. It was on the top floor, looking towards the rear of the property. The room was comfortable and the bathroom also pretty good. Breakfast at the restaurant was reasonably good as well.

I had stayed at the hotel for one night, enjoyed it so much came back a few days later and stayed another 3 nights. All the staff were great and very helpful The room was clean and spacious Food good Good location and close to Corte Engles

The room was clean and quite spacious. There was a separate area for wardrobe and storing your luggage. The staff was helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was quite good. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning of my room was out of order. It worked for around 20 to 30 minutes then stopped working. I turned it on again but it stopped working again. Then I reported to the front desk. The staff offered me another room. At that time, I had unpacked my stuff and did not want to do the packing and unpacking again. The staff marked the case on the logbook and said it would be fixed the following day when I went out. Luckily, the temperature was lowered at night. It was not hot when I opened the window at night. The following morning, I found a part of the mirror lights was not functioning as well. Therefore, I reported to the front desk and reminded the staff that the problem of the air conditioning. The staff said they would fix both the problems that day. However, when I came back, I found that the mirror light was fixed but the air-conditioning was still not working properly. I reported to the front desk again and she apologised to me and wrote it on the logbook again. Unfortunately, when I came back on the night before I check out, the air-conditioning was still not working and I was told that it was because they did not have parts for repairing. The staff said she could offer me another room but I refused it as I didn't want to change to another room at the last night I stayed in the hotel. Anyway, it is still worth to stay in this hotel.

We stayed here because it was convenient to the ferry terminal with a car, although other than that there is nothing else there. For a select service hotel they do a good job. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and so to are the restaurant staff. The rooms are big and functional. The facilities in the rooms are what I expect from this level of hotel so no comments. The food quality is their big issue, it is not very good at all and needs improvement. Overall I would stay there again.
