Walls are like Paper.
We had a family room for 2 nights. The best thing is the location. It was very central. The rooms were small but clean. The staff on the desk were very friendly but we were kept awake and then woken very early by the bedtime activities below and next door. I ahve never stayed anywhere with such thin walls. The teenager found it endlessly (literally) hilarious.
Delightful place to stay!
This hotel is GREAT! It's really well located - only about 10 minutes walk from the station and really close to the Chateau and the Sunday market. The place was really clean and the staff were wonderfully friendly - they gave us restaurant recommendations and even lent us plates and cutlery so we could have our picnic indoors when it rained.
Not Good Value for Money (at all)
The "hotel" needs to modernise. It is in the centre but that is the only positive aspect. The gentleman in the "reception" was nice but everything else was very disappointing. The little piece of paper with the entrance code, the individual password for each device you may want to connect to the internet, the absence of a lift, the size of the bathrooms and shower cubicle , the absence of air con in the rooms, no bottle of water in your rooms, the fact that you can hear people talking in a different room and the very restricted breakfast proves that you made a mistake. We were four and all of us agreed to loose the money and go to a better hotel. USEFUL information - if you need to dry your hair after showering please go down the stairs to reception and ask for the hairdryer!
Excellent, good value for money
This was a clean and well maintained hotel. It was centrally located, very convenient for the conference centre and other local amenities. The hotel staff were very wecolming and most helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Overnight stay after arriving on ferry
The manager was welcoming even though we arrived late - we had called ahead to warn him. The hotel is clean and was an ideal place to stay before we headed south. The main draw back is the breakfast room is tiny so we were very squashed. Parking is in a public car park around the corner which is free overnight.
