Le Due Lanterne

We were just passing through the area and needed a stop over, I found this on booking.com. There is no parking but being on a motorcycle I was able to ride the couple of hundred yards up to the property, the owner even rearranged the dining tables on his terrace so I could park the bike safely. Aieta is quaint and has wonderful views, we were already feeling good about the stay but our evening meal really was the icing on the cake. Probably the best and most authentic Italian meal we had ever eaten, our table was on the terrace overlooking the nearby hills, possibly the best view we have ever had from a dining table. I would recommend this place whole heartedly. Regarding the parking, there is plenty in the town and the owner will shuttle you and you’re luggage up in his little buggy.

Very friendly hosts, fantastic locally produced food, breath-taking views of the mountains and sea and clean and quiet accommodation in the heart of Aieta. Particularly enjoyed the home made alcoholic drinks! Would recommend to anyone! This is a taste of the real Italy! Dave

Went to Aieta as we were looking to have a taste of the real Italy and we were not disappointed. At arrival at Le Due Lanterne we were welcomed by the amazingly hospitable owners. We were offered drinks and when we sat down on the terrace overlooking the lower part of the village the owner came by with some freshly picked figs. We stayed for a total of three nights and the room we had was perfect for that. Compared to the rooms we had on the Amalfi coast the room was very spacy, but (for me) more importantly it was very clean. The bed was definitely above average and the bathroom was comfortable (and clean as well). Dinner was home cooked with all amazing fresh local produce. Definitely try the cheeses and salumi. To find a B&B like Le Due Lanterne is a real treat on its own, but also finding a heart felt welcome like we got from these owners is priceless. Don't understand the low ratings given below... This B&B is an experience you shouldn't miss when traveling through this region. Advice this B&B to all of my friends and family going to Italy (or still thinking about where to go...), so have no problem giving it a 5 star rating.

Esperienza pessima dopo una prenotazione fatta un mese prima troviamo una stanza con arredamento obsoleto e una insopportabile odore di muffa.Il gestore della struttura da noi sollecitato ci ha proposto un'altra stanza in condizioni peggiori della prima con: piatto doccia in mezzo al bagno, sedie sporche, macchiate e inusabili da esseri umani.Dulcis in fundo condizionatore rotto. Per correttezza cito anche l'arroganza del gestore. Abbiamo abbandonato la struttura di corsa...vi consigliamo di non entrare in quest'antro infernale...statene alla larga.

Acomodações confortáveis e limpas, mas os verdadeiros diferenciais são o simpatissíssimo Sr. Giovanni e o restaurante com produtos da região e alguns produzidos por ele mesmo. O terraço rústico com vista para as montanhas nos insere numa cena de cinema. Os embutidos, o carneiro o vinho de produção própria, além de saborosos, proporcionam uma experiência de raiz, justamente o que eu buscava na cidade dos meus antepassados. Um aplauso também para o gostoso café da manhã, com frutas fresquíssimas e deliciosas.
