I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn other potential visitors. We arrived during the stated check-in time. There were no staff at the hotel, and the front door was locked. We had received no check-in instructions, so we eventually phoned the hotel number. (Not easy as there was very little phone reception in the area.) They informed us that we should have received check-in instructions by text (we hadn't). They gave us a code for the front door as said there should be keys in an envelope for us at the front desk (there wasn't). So they gave us a separate code for our room. The room itself was very basic, with an slightly unpleasant brown colour to the walls and a very low ceiling. It was also quite run-down. The curtains over the window barely covered the window space - there was a fine balancing act involved to ensure no light got in. The TV was also way too small for the room size. There was no refrigerator in the room or bar area, and there was a single small ice-maker, but if one guest took the available ice, it would take another hour to replenish. It was ultimately very disconcerting being in a hotel with just a few other guests, but zero staff on-hand. I assume the reason this hotel costed so much more than hotel chains like Holiday Inn, is due to the view, but personally I found the view underwhelming.
DO NOT BOOK ROOM #8

After many years on Trip Advisor, I believe I have only written one other negative review. So, I typically look on the sunny side of travel. But, this experience was so disappointing that I had to write a review. If you looked at the photos on Expedia or on the Inn's website, you expected a lovely room with views of the Puget Sound and perhaps even a hot tub. All of the rooms, except Room #8 are exactly as advertised. This is not one of those rooms. This a storage room that has been (in my opinion) turned into a hotel room. It is not on the water. It faces a tiny parking "lot". It is really dark (see my photo and not the one on the website). The window near the bed faces a neighboring home's front yard. Cars are about 5 feet from the room and you can hear each vehicle as it flies by. This room is almost dangerous, as you are so close to the road. The shower is tiny. The hotel management called me 24 hours in advance of our stay to warn me that the Expedia posting for this room is incorrect and that we had booked an "inside room". It is NOT an inside room. It is a room that is on a road, with the sound of cars wizzing by your bed and has no view. Why rent this room at all???? (See photo of my husband standing next to the room's entrance.) This room is so disappointing that when we arrived, we simply went home. I am now out hundreds of dollars and our first weekend away after quarantine is ruined. What breaks my heart is that we walked the small grounds and admired the view just before we went to the room. The site is lovely....for guests who have all but Room #8. Even if I could book one of the nicer rooms in the future I wouldn't return. I cannot support an Inn whose management would rent this type of room to unsuspecting travelers.
Hands Down! The absolute best!

Hello! My name is Nicole! My husband Patrick and I were curious about the Camano Island Inn, and being off season right now, we were able to get a discounted rate here at this lovely establishment!! I’ve never been in a hotel where there was NO staff! It was so amazing! We were aloud to have little snacks and beverages for free in their nice kitchen, rooms stocked with wine glasses, and everything we need for a romantic evening.. there are two decks that have the most breath taking views, I literally cried at the awesomeness of God’s creation!! We were able to use the amenities upstairs and they even supplied binoculars for whale watching!! Also.. the rooms are very elegant! Super comfy beds and get this!.. Hot Tubs on the first floor for 5 of the rooms! To be honest, this was our second visit this month lol! On the first visit, the power was going on and off, but it was very romantic and fun!! I’m very glad to come to this hotel! Brooke and her husband are amazing hosts! The breakfast is outstanding!! Bacon, Frittatas! Fresh juice, coffee and flavors as well!! Trust me, if you’re looking for a private romantic getaway! Come to this hotel and rekindle your passion! Thank you Camano Island Inn! You have customers for life here!!:)🥰

My sister and I spent the day exploring Camano Island and when we got to the Inn we were exhausted and sore from Zip Lining. Our room was very clean, the hot tub was perfect. The Inn has three fireplaces and we relaxed by a hot fire and reflected on our day. Very cozy!!Jaynee was the perfect host and our breakfast was fresh and hot. Quaint place and so quiet, just what we were looking for.
Enjoyed an Off Season stay

I spent a single night here prior to a local appointment. We found an old inn with a ton of history. I did not feel it was run down as some of the reviews stated. We knew in advance the Bistro was closed for the season and had an excellent meal delivered from a local restaurant. The breakfast was provided and was exactly what you would expect from a B&B. I took an early morning walk on the beach and we were on our way.
