Highly recommended wonderful room
Our room was totally amazing very immaculate and decor tasteful, Inga was a very pleasant host and nothing was to much trouble, enjoyed our stay in the wonderful warm comfortable large twin room , highly recommend will definitely visit again ,
Amazing
I honestly have nothing bad to say about the A and B guest house, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the WiFi was fast but most of all the woman that ran the hotel was friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was good and all around facilities were amazing we had a personal bathroom and a smart tv. Would recommend to all friends and family. Parking was good and your very close to shops and Cambridge university’s botanical garden. Great placement great facilities and an all around good vibe. Amazing place. ~Jake and Ken Swyderski
Good B and B
We were welcomed warmly by Inga , who couldn’t do enough for us . Even providing a cold press for my sore neck !! Lovely big room on the first floor , big comfy king size bed with a mattress topper ... good nights sleep as a consequence.... like sleeping on a cloud !! Good en-suite Breakfast was well cooked and met our needs , including going out to the shops early to get apple juice and soya milk for me !! Would recommend this lovely B and B Thank you Inga
Expensive and disappointing
Conveniently located but otherwise disappointing. Our room on the ground floor was created by splitting what would have originally been one large room. The result was a small twin - clean, comfortable, tea and coffee making, TV, hairdryer - but small. The bathroom was ridiculously small, the wash basin dinky so the door didn’t hit it, the toilet set at a slight angle so it fitted in, good shower but barely room to put a bath mat down and certainly not enough room to get dry without hitting elbows. We had to get dry in the bedroom and we are average size, if you are taller or broader than average you’d struggle. The walls were very thin, the room overlooked the garden with a table and chairs where the smokers gathered in the morning so we had the smoke smell and coughing from 7am. There’s a choice of continental or full breakfast. Personally, if you’re having continental I’d advise just buying something from one of the nearby little stores. For £5 there’s : cheap orange juice, a choice of three cereals, cows milk, a coffee machine or a pot of tea, a stand with a couple of oranges plus some tired apples, a few of those tiny cakes that come in big bags at the supermarket. Plus 2 slices of toasted granary bread with a slice of processed cheese and a slice of salami. No fresh bread, no yogurt or hard boiled eggs, no patisserie. Cooked breakfast is as above plus bacon, sausage, egg and beans. No veggie option, no vegan option. It’s very expensive for what it is.
Just so small
Our room was tiny, tripping over each other and the bathroom was so small it was not functional. Of course as with any guesthouse in England the rooms were not soundproof but it was particularly loud here. And the price was simply too high for the quality. Plus it's not a short walk to downtown.
