The grounds and facilities are excellent. The rooms are very clean, secure, and comfortable. Just don't bother staying at this place on a Monday or Tuesday as everything was closed, e.g.: bar & restaurant. The area immediately outside of the resort does not offer many options.

Old Kinderhook is always the same….a great experience. The staff is helpful and friendly and goes above and beyond. If you haven’t stayed there, you should!! I didn’t golf this time, but have in the past. The course is amazing too!

We stayed at Old Kinderhook June 4th and 5th for our son's baseball tournament at the lake. We all loved the resort. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. The staff was so nice and accommodating to our group as well. We enjoyed hanging out by the sand volleyball courts in the evenings where the boys could play some volleyball and swim. The restaurant has very good food as well. I think this has to be one of the best places to stay at the lake. My son accidently left his swim trunks in the room after we checked out and didn't realize it until we got home. The head housekeeper was very nice and offered to mail them back to us which we just got yesterday. The lodge rooms could use a refresh with a bit updating, but overall it's a terrific place to stay and we can't wait to go back.

We stayed in the lodge; it was nice! Our room was overlooking the pool and the golf course. Unfortunately the whole hotel didn’t seem to be up & functioning at full capacity. The bar wasn’t open at all. The restaurant was closed part of the week due to staffing problems.

Has potential to be a nice place... or sort of seemed like maybe it used to be nice... nice that it had indoor pool and hot tub, but not maintained as walls were peeling. Creek around oitdoor pool was cute but the outside pool was too small... good idea to have outdoor bar, but they failed to staff it and did not restock the pool towels... occupancy did not seem to be max capacity so a little confused why service was so poor. Nice seating under common porches, but no efforts to clean them from bird poo / feathers / dead bugs nor to clean away guests left over items... not even by the next morning. No one cleaned the rooms, and they didn't seem to want to give you another towel... Did not receive the amenities and service that a resort needs to offer, although they did not fail to charge the extra $15 daily resort fee. No one ever even asked 'how is/was your stay?' Instead of a staff member at the reception desk, there was a sign saying they were somewhere else. Would not stay here again.
