Unfriendly staff. SPA leaves something to be desired, it is not a real SPA. The floor of the Restaurant is degraded, which made me fall into the breakfast service. In the gym the machines are old and don't work. We booked in double bed room conditions and they put me in twin conditions. The Hotel is not worth the money.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the highlight is it's location just across the road from the river and beach! The rooms are spacious and the hotel is very COVID conscious with sanitisers everywhere. I enjoyed a Hawaiian special massage at the spa and it was AMAZING - possibly the best massage I've ever had! There is a huge pool to avail off, snooker table and nice bar area for the evenings. The only downfall was the breakfast- it was very average with very limited options. Overall a great place to rest during a stay in Caminha!

Holiday with the family in COVID time

The location is awsome, close to the sea and river beach. The room was confortable and spatious even with two beds in (couple and two children). Safety: Everyone wore face masks and alcool gel was available in multiple places. The dinner and breakfast place respected the safety distances. Spa and inside pool: Apreciated the organization in the spa pool (booked by hours and short number of people), specially bc we got the days of hard rain. Had a full body massage and enjoyed it very much. Food: only dinned there once but it was an amazing experience. The breakfast was also divided by shifts but sometimes it was really confusing. Some of the staff didn't respect their own rules and if we had some trays maybe it would be easier. At least everyone had masks, food was plenty and the staff was very friendly.

Excelente place for relax, amazing services not only friendly but highly professional. The spa and poll are awesome and its the most peacefull place to enjoy. Definetly be back for another peacefull session.

I have been to Hotel Porta do Sol in Caminha during January 2020. I do recommend this holiday venue to anyone who would like to relax and be treated with service excellence. All amenities are super great , the spa , the indoor pools are an absolute pleasure to be in as the water temperature is excellent for this time of the year. This is definitely one of my favorite places to spend a holiday and i sure will go back. The room service , i can't fault on anything - that was also excellent. In summary the entire experience was GREAT!!!!
