Not as Good as Previously
I have stayed at the Mantra MacArthur on previous occasions (before the Covid shutdown) and found the hotel to be great. However, this stay was different. The price was great. But there was no daily housekeeping. When we asked about this we were told that the government had requested that the housekeeping be limited to 'Weekly Housekeeping' to prevent any Covid spread, fair enough. Only thing is when we made the booking on line there was no mention of the fact that there was no housekeeping. I believe that this should be clearly stated prior to finalising bookings. Next - the carpets in the corridors and in our room were horribly stained, the floor of the lift was dirty for the entirety of our stay and the coffee cups in the room had not been washed thoroughly. One cup had a hair in it and the other had coffee stains. It was disappointing to think that basic cleaning practices were not to a better standard. I do hope that these problems can be rectified.
My go to place.
It's my go to place when I am in Canberra, the staff are efficient and friendly. Most of the staff are multilingual with languages spoken displayed on the staff name badge. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. There is onsite secure parking available for a fee. Restaurant is well worth visiting.
Best hotel!
I stayed with my family in the hotel this last weekend. All the staff members were so helpful and kind with us. We requested a baby cot and it was all set up on arrival. We had such a good time in Canberra and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing staff members this hotel have. Big thanks to Joe, Palak, Ogo and Emma!
Clean, well located, really friendly staff.
I really enjoyed my stay at mantra McArthur. Joe was super helpful, the staff in the restaurant were really lovely. Great coffee. Everything was really clean and it was a really convenient location to get everywhere. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Canberra. Looking forward to staying again.
Great for our stay
Rooms have all the basics you need. Parking is easy and the gym facilities have all the basics you need. Breakfast was good. Location puts you in 10 minutes travel to pretty well everything. Didn't use the hotels restaurant so can't comment on that.
