Cancun Bay Resort

Our experience at Cancun Bay Resort was fantastic!! We stayed for 4 nights and rarely had any issues. By far the best part of our time here was the staff - Reggie at the front desk was extremely helpful and patient with us and made our stay feel very comfortable. We knew with confidence we could turn to him with any questions we had. Celso (our dinner waiter) was one of the best waiters I've had anywhere - he is always kind, attentive even when it was busy, and definitely deserves a raise. Gustavo at the lobby bar was also amazing and made us some great drinks. Finally, Flavio served us at the bar and on the beach and he was amazing - he remembered our drinks orders and kept them coming without us having to ask. On the other hand, we understand why most of the negative reviews are about the food - it's not great. But for the price, it's not reasonable expect a 5-star buffet, and we never found ourselves hungry or unable to find anything to eat. The only really frustrating part of our stay was our trouble getting ahold of the front desk. We called before we got to Mexico and rarely could get through - and we called when we got to Mexico and still could rarely get through. At one point, we became slightly worried we had been scammed because we couldn't seem to get any employees on the phone. Additionally, our phone line in our room was not working, forcing us to walk to the front desk anytime we needed anything. However, this small stipulation did not outweigh the price, the amazing customer service, and the great location and amenities. We would definitely recommend this resort for the more low-maintenance crowd looking for a cheaper stay in Cancun with all-inclusive drinks and food.

My friends and I visited Cancun Bay for a bachelorette. The rooms were decent although I wish they’d do away with those old and used comforters. The showers were nice. I didn’t likw how they old offered you 1 bottle of water a day. If I’m willing to pay for more I should be provided it. The food was NOT what we expected it was very sad. They say it’s buffet style food but the options were very limited. Also felt like a lot of the food was old or canned or something. Really hope they can authenticate their food in the future. But the front desk Reggie Sanchez did a WONDERFUL job of accommodating us. We loved him!!!!!! Anytime we needed change for pesos or order for delivery he was there to help. We also appreciated Alejandra, the head of the food department. She did a phenomenal job at attending to us when we needed drinks, etc. very thankful for them and their hospitality.

The entertainment staff Katherine and Michelle were amazing. They kept my 2 yr old engaged the entire day at the pool and we’re extremely friendly! Great hotel stay, food is healthy for the most part but if your looking to book the Italian restaurant you have to do it first thing in the am before anyone wakes up. There are other eateries near the hotel.

Visited here with my family senior trip the staff is very friendly and made me feel welcomed. The cleaning crew made me feel like covid-19 was no issue for us. The entertainment staff was very awesome about making sure we have lots of fun especially Kathrine kept great score and did awesome about asking everyone to play water polo and volleyball. Great vacation!

Wonderfull staff, good location and delicious food! We spent such a good Time near the pool where animators took so much attention to make our rest so good! Thanks to Katherin and Michelle for a cap and entertaiment! Greetings!
