We came for a sibling trip in July. While the hotel is beautiful and the drinks were flowing I was still somewhat disappointed with this hotel. I'll start with the things I liked. There are several infinity pools with plenty of lounge chairs around. We hung out in the "party pool" which was fun, the entertainment staff Anaya had something going on and when they took a break they had good music playing. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and cent very safe. Free covid tests to get back into the USA. The drinks were good and it seemed there was always something new to try. The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful when they could be.
The things that disappointed. We booked a standard room with 2 double beds, which were pushed up next to each other so I was caught in the middle of the 2 beds most nights. I requested a mattress topper to convert the bed to a king size which the first 2 times they said yes we will send someone from house keeping but none ever showed. The last time I was told they don't have anything like that. The room was Hot! Our A/C would not go below 24 degrees. I found the food quality to be mediocre. It wasn't terrible but definitely not the best. Speaking of food, the speciality dinni g is first come first serve so be prepared to wait around an hour if you want to eat between 7 & 8 pm. For being an adults only resort I found the night time entertainment to be lacking. They had 1 nightly show with their dancers which I thought was mediocre as well. Everything closed at 11 pm as in Mexico they can not serve alcohol after 11 pm due to covid.

Our first time in Cancun and me and my wife had a wonderful time at this resort. We booked Junior Ocean view room and had stunning views of the swimming pool and the ocean. Although the interior look is not modern, however the main entrance hall has a beautiful architecture and very welcoming and rooms are super clean and housekeeping is fantastic (they clean and stock up 2-3 times a day without asking). Prime location as it is 5 min walk from major pubs and bars even though we were there just to stroll through the buzzing nightlife. Also bus stops, convenience store, pharmacy and supermarket is just across the street. Food - we tried all the restaurants, overall the food was decent, however a little bland for our taste. A lot of good beef pork and lamb options but the buffet should consider some additional chicken options. Entertainment shows at night were very good too along with all the staff who bring life to the swimming pool with all the fun activities throughout the day. There is parasailing and jet ski right at the beach resort and also we were able to go do cenotes, ATV, ziplining and Isla Mujeres island tour organized by tour operators in the resort. Visit the Playa Delfines local Cancun beach if you like waves or like surfing (the beach at resort doesn't have much waves). Covid protocols and face masks indoors are strictly followed and Covid testing procedures are a breeze as the medical professional came to our room and took the sample.
Overall we highly recommend staying at this hotel and 100% come back.

First off, the service was pretty good and very attentive, and that's the only plus.
Food: Everything was over/under cooked. It seemed like they attempted to cover up the food quality issues by over-spicing literally everything. I think the food compares to a standard US chain restaurant in quality, not something that you would expect for the daily price you're paying. And if you say you aren't going to get an appetizer, the staff wisks away a portion of your tableware for some reason.
The "specialty" restaurants aren't that great, and after 3 days we just resigned ourselves to the buffet so we could eat the same quality food but didn't have to wait in line to do so.
Drinks: they're "okay" at best, rather weak TBH, but they flow plentifully. The wait staff outside are absolutely great though.
Beach: Absolutely TINY, with probably 3/4 of the water having large rocks in it that make it hard to navigate while walking. You can see this by watching people, everyone congregates to the RH side while in the water. Also, it's a public beach so the merchants are rampant, plus kids regularly came over from the RIU Peninsula with their parents.
Pools: The pools are only open 1000-1900. Heaven forbid if you want to swim afterwards, they'll come chase you off. The far right pool is the "party" pool and we avoided it completely. Also, the staff won't intervene if someone has a Bluetooth speaker and wants to play their music loudly by the pool, which spoils the ambiance for others. We flew 2000 miles and didn't wanna hear country music blaring while trying to listen to the sounds of the gulf.. But staff just shrugged their shoulders. And although the hotel claims that they don't allow "saving" of chairs and loungers, it happened everyday and nothing was done.
Rooms:. meh. Dirty rooms and stained linens. Water in the mini bar was never replaced, we ended up having to go down to "The Lounge" to get more. And although the place seems to be made out of solid construction, we could easily hear people beside and above us moving around at all hours. Also, electrical outlets are few, with only one available in the bathroom, one over the mini bar, and one to the right of the bed. We had 2 beds in our room, and one of them had ONE sheet on it, the other had FOUR.
Also, since this place is trying to draw in mainly English speaking guests, it seems strange that they employ so many people who don't speak even moderate English. The language barrier was tough sometimes.
Next time we come to Cancun, we will likely stay at another location. This place just doesn't seem worth the money.
a great vacation!!!!

the service and the food was great. I particularly liked the entertainment in the hotel. All the entertainers were in a very good mood. franccesca convinced us to play volleyball every day, and it was always a lot of fun. she was the sunshine in the hotel. I would go on vacation in this hotel again at any time
