More about the hotel
Great location, horrible bed
We could not have asked for a better location with tons of superb bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Front desk was always very helpful and able to help with both English and Portuguese. Easy parking beneath the hotel if you rent a car. Breakfast was good but a bit limited. Room was ok—hadn’t been swept clean in a while with lots of dust bunnies. Shower was amazing—large rain head with plenty of pressure and really hot water. Bed was horrible—painful to sleep in, tossed and turned constantly trying to find some kind of comfortable position. Bad pillow didn’t help. Both my wife and I were uncomfortable so made for really tough nights. There are other quality hotels nearby—would probably choose one of them if/when we return to Mendoza.
lovely hotel in downtown Mendoza
The rooms are small by USA standards, but clean and comfy. Breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpful. Definitely good value and we would stay here again. Rain head was the only shower head in the shower.
Raindrops
Mostly positive feelings about the hotel; friendly and efficient reception staff. Clean room with efficient air conditioning. Only one hiccup: a midnight storm that resulted in rain pouring through the ceiling of my room - the hotel is fairly new and this storm might have exposed a roof drain that was never correctly tied in. When this happened around 2am, I walked down to reception. They didn't seem too bothered by it and offered me a stack of towels (which I deployed underneath the streams of water emerging from the ceiling). Thought they might have offered to help? They vacuumed the carpet outside the room the next morning and I returned the waterlogged towels. Breakfast was lovely. Pool is fairly represented in the photos on line; it's small. Water was cooler than I expected given the 95F day time temperatures.
Dirtiest hotel ever
I want to start this review saying that I can't understand how someone can right a review saying that this hotel is clean. I have never stayed in a dirtiest hotel than this in my whole life. Positive points: - They have "helped" us with an early check-in (they charged us for that, of course) - Hotel location is really good. - Rooms and hotel grounds are new (but rooms are dirty) Negative point - Really, Really dirty rooms (we moved to 2 different rooms and both were dirty); - There is some kind of bar behind the hotel, which plays really loud music during the whole night (it was almost 2 am and the music was still there). We had to change the room to be able to sleep. The first time we complain to the front desk they said that they couldn't do anything, because the party was not related to the hotel and they said that they were not even listening to the music (the party was at the rear area of the hotel, of course they were not listening. We had to go down and complain for a second time to get a different room (also dirty). For the price charged this hotel is far away from being good. Would never stay again.
Clean modern hotel in the middle of Mendoza
The hotel was clean and tidy and very convenient with lots of great restaurants nearby. There are three or four streets nearby (within 3 or 4 blocks) that provide endless options for steak, Italian, Japanese and more. We found some fun bars and pubs too.
