When we arrived at the hotel address we discovered we booked a Super 8, not an EconoLodge, because your company never bothered to get your location updated with Google Maps. Admittedly, we were tired from having travelled 450 miles that day and getting lost several times in the spaghetti NJ calls roads in the final two miles trying to find the hotel. We expressed our frustration with finding the hotel when we arrived. The staff member at the front desk said nothing, then admonished us for not wearing a mask — although he wasn’t wearing one either; he was wearing a neck gaiter. Having just driven over 1000 miles and passing through ten states in the past two days, I guess we didn’t get the memo on mask policies for New Jersey. The room key cards had a phone number for Domino’s Pizza so we called to place an order, after which they said they were only offering carry-out service, no delivery. The hotel had no elevator from the underground parking to the rooms above, making it very difficult to get our heavy luggage up the stairs. Overall, a very miserable experience. We’re never coming back.

Hotel Cancelled My Reservation w/o Notification

When this Booking.com reservation was made, the property name was Econo Lodge Meadowlands. When I tried to check-in last night, I was berated by the front desk man because I did not know that this property was now Super 8 and the reservation had been cancelled and it was not his problem. He refused me any kind of support other than to "leave his property" after I tried to argue that I had a credit card guaranteed reservation and "its my fault that I did not understand that he is not Econo Lodge and therefore not his problem." This was obviously a systemic problem because the guy after me had the same problem. Lesson to self, always stick with reputable brands like Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton and book direct because reservation agent can't do anything to help either.

I've been in worse, but I can't say I'd intentionally go back here. There was a raging marijuana smell traversing our room. The bathroom straight up looks like a prison cell. There's a decent bagel joint nearby, but there's otherwise not much around. I booked here to attend a Giants game, but you really can't walk to the stadium, even though it's less than a mile away. I can't really think of a reason I'd ever come back here. If you just want to save cash, fine, but it's barely acceptable.

Poor check in and out experience; room reeked of cigarette smoke; alarm clock, coffee maker, hair dryer all did not work; floor was filthy and bottom of white socks turned black; fridge made loud humming noise to point we had to pull very dirty plug and unplug; could not of paid my husband or I to take bath or shower. Feel compensation is in order. Stayed 3-20. Last name D’Urso

Checked in and found a dead Roach on top of the hotel safe, The jetted tub had a long black hair stuck on one of the spray jets. The mattress was very “hard” made sleeping uncomfortable and woke up feeling more tired. The rooms decor was extremely outdated and resembled an 80’s porn movie. They advertised the king suite with a fireplace but when I pressed the on button nothing happened. I called the front desk Saturday night and the employee who checked us in said he didn’t know how to use the fireplace and didn’t have instructions for us. I also informed him about the dead roach and the hair and he never once offered to remove us or switch us to another king suite. No apologies made. The customer service provided was horrible. I would never recommend this place not even as a crack house. I wasted $$$ here since they offered no resolution a my review is painfully true.
