Great spot with a great host
Opinión escrita el 21 de enero de 2020
We stopped in Carmen for one night to see the Chocolate Hills. We came on a public transport bus from Tagbilaran City -75 pesos / about 2 hrs journey with amazing views). Andrew (or Andrea is a Filipino native who lived in Italy for 40 years) welcomed us with fresh juice and fruit. His house has a few different room options. We chose a two single bed room. The room was clean (also equipped with a fan) and there was shower with warm water. We were able to rent a motorcycle straight from Andrew and he gave us a good recommendation for a dinner spot and even took us to see the city square, which was really fun. In the early morning, he drove us to the van pick up station so we could continue our journey (90 pesos / 1 hr drive back to Tagbilaran City). We were really happy to stay with such a kind, fun and informative host. Highly recommended.

Great budget guesthouse by the Chocolate hills.

If you don’t fancy doing the chocolate hills on a day trip like us then this is the perfect place to stay. The viewpoint is only 10 minutes by motorbike and the man made forest is only a little further. The owner of the guesthouse is amazing, so accommodating! He gave us a welcome mango juice when we arrived and even came with me to sort out my laundry at a local shop. He recommended we go to the Chocolate hills viewpoint for sunrise which we did and it was beautiful. He was even up at 4:30 to wave us off. Scooters are available to rent from the guesthouse for 500php per day. We had a double fan room and although it was pretty hot it was bearable. The room was also quite small but for the price we didn’t expect much more. The bathrooms were clean, water pressure was a bit limited when both showers were on but again nothing to be concerned about. There are a few small local restaurants in town for food, we tried Don Ricardo and it was good.

lucky to find this B&B!

We received warmly help from the owner Mr.Adres of 7P2 B&B when we were on our way to chocolate hills and our motorbike was broken at 5km to the destination. We thought we missed the chance to visit the hills until we met Mr. Adres, he kindly helped us to call the local motorbike company to come over to replace the moto, meanwhile, he helped to arrange a tricycle to bring us to the chocolate hills. So we made it to the chocolate hills and by the time we came back from chocolate hills, our replaced moto was there awaiting! We appreciate his help very much and want to share this story here. Again, thank you for your help!! - from Nicole and Andrey

We stayed just one night for 800 PHP in a twin bed room with shared bathroom. Absolutely recommended to stay here for tours to chocolate hills and adventures. + Andrew and his family are so lovely and helpful. + You can order a good breakfast for 150 PHP (they even would prepare a vegetarian meal for you). + Good location in Carmen. 5 minutes to the bus hub and market in Carmen. 30-40 minutes walking to the view point of the Chocolate hills (or bus for 10 PHP). + Shared bathroom was always clean and equipped with toilet paper. Shower was just cold, but refreshing. + Towels, soap and shampoo is provided. + Room and beds are really clean with flynets and fan. + Quite night, you won't hear the traffic noise. But remember, you are in the countryside, you will hear a dog or rooster sometimes. - The single bed might be a bit small for european men. - The location on maps me or google maps isn't correct. The B&B is next to the hospital and when you ask the locals, they will show you the way.

Very clean, super friendly

We stayed here for 2 nights. The owner Andrea (Italian/Philippino) is very friendly and helpful. He was like a guest father to us. We were ill and he took care of us a lot! Thank you for that! The room (ventilator) we stayed in was tiny but very clean! (bed and towels clean, I love that!) We also got a little shampoo and soap for our first shower. The shared bathroom is as clean as the whole house. Andrea really keeps attention to everything! We rent a scooter for a day to go to chocolate hills (500Pesos) which is only 3km away. Went there early in the morning without any tourists, that was so great! Breakfast was delicious (omlette, toast, butter, fruits, some sweet stuff from the bakery, some slices of tomatoe, cucumber and carrot, tea, coffee), which is 150 Pesos per person, but worth it if you already got tired of rice and asian breakfast. The whole house is mosquito free, many grilles to keep them out. The whole are is surrunded by a big fence, the area around is also nice and safe. We talked a lot to Andrea and think this is a really nice place to stay! Go on like this! We put in a picture where you can find 7p2 because on our "maps.me" map it was marked at the wrong junction. Although it's still easy to find, maybe that's more easier if you already know :) you can walk there in 5 minutes from the bus termimal Andrea also told us some places where to eat nearby. We tried all 3 places (Don Ricardo, Mama Letty and a typical phillipino BBQ, we liked all 3, but loved Mama Letty)
