I just checked in yesterday and I needed to leave a review for this place already! If I could give it 10 stars if I could! The staff here has been amazing. Now that our trip is completed I would like to thank Juan and the beautiful receptionist lady who made our trip amazing. They made phone calls for us to set up a bicycle tour with a guide who spoke English that was able to show us the whole town. They set us up with a private boat tour. Our whole trip was amazing all because of their help.

Ananda is a beautiful boutique hotel with friendly staff. This is a belated review and our family would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff for taking such good care of us while we were quarantined at the hotel as we recouped from COVID. With the caring support of the entire staff, we were able to live through the COVID pleasantly. While staying at Ananda, don’t forget to visit the bar/restaurant near the pool. Pls say hi to Lilibeth. She is such a caring warm person. She wrote us sweet notes to let us know she prays for our speedy recovery and made me special tea to relieve me from my cough. Cartagena is a beautiful city. You must stay at Ananda during your visit to truly appreciate its colonial tropical decor.. lots of carved wood, shutters, trees in courtyard, birds, the bar, the restaurant (must try the chicken soup. It warmed my soul while I recovered). The rooms are big. We had the room with two bathrooms, loft and living room. (The only complaint is the bathroom toilet doesn’t have much flushing power) The room has a balcony that immerse you with the daily activities in the old town. The music, the street vendors, the noise, everything made the stay at Ananda an unforgettable memory! Do stay at Ananda you will love it!

The hotel is magical, the service is excellent, everyone is willing to help without being overwhelming. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. The rooms are very well organized, spacious and clean. You can use the bikes the hotel has to stroll around in the old city. The location is great because there is not much noise around while being in the heart or the walled city.

Lovely hotel. Just a lovely spot to spend the new year. We were very happy with our stay and the staff was top notch. Constructive feedback would be - wifi was essentially non-existent. It was so slow that it essentially served no purpose. The breakfast was also a little sub-par, with lackluster baked goods and small-portioned egg dishes. Other than that we loved this hotel and would definitely stay again!

We went here on the last stop of our honeymoon. Excellent choise that was. Beautiful setting, perfect location in the walled city of Cartagena. The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast, it was not very varied. Staff and room excellent. We will definately be coming back!
