We loved it!
We stayed for 2 nights just before xmas 2020. We were on the 5th floor with great views. The room, staff, service, everything was excellent. It is a 20minute walk into the town but it's worth the walk from the hotel and turning right out of the hotel takes you to the wonderful Casa da Guia with loads of restaurants and some independent shops. There are 2 spaces for disabled drivers directly outside the hotel, sadly . able bodied guests were keen to use them at times. This is no criticism of the staff in anyway,, it was beyond their control.
Excellent
Really nice. Furnished and finished to a high standard comfy bed, well sound proofed, huge bath.... Staff was excellent, Marta was lovely and welcoming (I read the other reviews and really don't get, she was very professional). Definitely recommend, especially if the deal is good. The cleaning was spotless.
Beautiful views
We stayed two nights in Cascais. Check in was easy and quick - Beatrice was very helpful with beaches and places to visit. The room was quite sparsely furnished owing to covid. I don't think there was a kettle. The pool was nice, and plenty of umbrellas and beds to go round. The pool boy was also very friendly and came to clean/disinfect each chair/table as people left. We didn't have any issues with the hotel until the morning we were due to depart. We were told that we could order food to the pool, so I went for a swim and left my husband to do the ordering. He came back to the pool some 15 minutes later saying that he had been told fairly rudely that the kitchen wasn't open (despite being told we could order food just five minutes before), and when he asked if there were other options for food, he had been told "no". Anyway we ordered McDonald's via uberEats. Half an hour later, a manager came up to us by the pool to apologise for how rude his staff had been. My husband hadn't complained, so I'm not sure how the manager came to hear about the incident. In any event, he offered us complimentary drinks at the bar anytime. I thought it was pretty good service recovery, but I do think that perhaps the staff as a whole need to be better trained, after reading other comments on here. Otherwise it was a nice hotel, a little bit away from the hustle of the city centre, with fantastic views.
Rubbish
Wow what can i say such a rude rude horrible woman on reception I think named Marta V gave me the worst welcome I have ever received from any where in the world let alone a hotel, screamed at us on arrival to put masks on even though the place was empty I have no problem with that but ask nicely you horrible person no wonder the place is quiet it will close soon there is no coffee in the room they are quite small the pool is so cold and the bar shuts at 7 for some reason probably because COVID only comes out at night, the rest of the staff were polite but for the money pretty poor show should be ashamed when they need guests, overall clean place, nice view some nice staff but Marta V should be gone gone gone got no people skills and I would not recommend or return to this place as I value myself more than they treat you
Not great for the cost
As a seasoned traveler for both business and pleasure I have never received such a rude welcoming from a woman at the desk named Marta V her first words were to shout at everyone about wearing a mask no hello and welcome then asking politely, very unprofessional throughout the stay she is definitely in the wrong job she would more suited as a prison warder I wouldn’t mind but to put a mask on for three steps from the door to the lift in a empty hotel makes no sense, also for the price there is no coffee or tea facilities in the room which I find bizarre, overall the hotel is clean but we stayed in the same hotel in Lisbon which had far friendlier staff and treated their guests with respect I would not recommend this hotel at all, the area is beautiful and there are much friendlier hotels
