Quiet stay
We only stayed in this place for one night. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Location: It is close to the Segesta ruins, in the middle of vineyards, olive and other fruit trees. Room: Our room was clean and basic with a very nice balcony. The heater worked well. We sat on the sunny roof. Staff: The staff and the owner were very nice. Upon arrival, we were offered glasses of local wine. Food: Basic breakfast with homemade jams and bread, different kind of juices, olives etc . (I will talk about dinner separately as it's not included with the room) Parking: Free Wifi: Fine
Brilliant Agritourismo
Just returned from a 4 night stay at Baglio Pocoroba. Very friendly welcome. Our room was fine with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. We opted for half board and the meals were excellent. Extensive choice at breakfast and dinner was superb. The antipasti to start included 6 or 7 dishes, then a huge plate of pasta followed by the main course and normally fruit for desert. We thought the main course could have been more adventurous but perhaps we were being picky. We always chose jugs of local wine at dinner for which we were charged extra. The owner Giuseppe could not have more genial and all his staff were helpful and courteous. Swimming pool was great. Highly recommended.
Friendly farm location
Close to the segesta ruins ( not so close that you can see them!), easy to find, in the middle of vineyards. Very quiet setting. The rooms are clean, basic but comfortable. Good breakfast and there is a restaurant- try the beef on a sizzling hotplate. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Good location for exploring the north west corner of Sicily and enjoying true hospitality.
Great stop if you're passing thru, didn't stay, but great lunch!
Like many places, this agriturismo is a bit out, and the GPS coords proved useful. Had a great, simple lunch (caponata, pasta bolognese, pasta w/olio, and was introduced to a great cattaratto. The crowd was a mix of locals, people staying there, and other tourists passing thru. The host treated us very well and served us himself. Great plact
Huge Easter Lunch
We had originally booked another agriturismo down the road, but they cancelled due to electrical issues 5 days before our stay. They helped us make new arrangements for this place. We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our 10 days in Sicily. We arrived on Friday evening (Good Friday) and were greeted with a glass of wine. We were shown to our large apartment and able to eat dinner in the restaurant on site. Although it was after 9pm, we were the only people eating, but the food was delicious. We had antipasti with many dishes and pasta with a pork sauce. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast with bread, meats, cheeses, eggs, many flavors of jam, juice, cappuccino, etc. We were here for Easter Sunday which is a very busy day for this agriturismo. They had 200 people for lunch. We were not sure they would have room for us, but they squeezed us in. It was amazing!
