A lovely weekend
This hotel is placed in a lovely small spanish town. It was just what we needed for a base to travel into Barcelona. It is about a half an hours bus ride out of Barcelona with a bus stop a 2 minute walk away. Journeys cost €2.40 or buy a T-casual 10 journey ticket for €11 which allows travel right into and around Barcelona on buses, trains and the Metro system. We stayed in a very comfortable twin, en-suite room. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom very clean and with an excellent shower. Coffee is delicious. We only used it as a base so didn't eat here. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 5 minute walk away from a lovely beach and some very nice restaurants.
Very average
The best thing is probably the terrace area by the reception, it feels welcoming and nice. The service was very hesitant and felt far from professional. The rooms are very basic, small and our beds were uncomfortable. Easy parking on the street outside and a close walk to restaurants and the beach though.
Good location, great staff, but amenities a bit difficult to give high rating
We were greeted to the hottest, smallest room ever encountered even for European Standards... Turned on the AC, went out for a drink/food and chose to see how a good nights sleep would help. Staff were helpful to try to help us find what we needed, but it almost seemed like they still were learning the area... Then when we went to bed that is when the real fun began... The best (supposed to be a double bed for two people) was two twin beds pushed together... Not a problem... If the beds didn't separate at the slightest movement. God forbid you roll over in your sleep to the middle of the "bed" and and you end up on the floor... *sadly this is not an exaggeration.... No point mentioning to the staff... As there were no other rooms available , and wasn't sure there would be another option... So when you look at pics of two beds together... Think carefully... There will be surprises, if you don't sleep like a log, might want to cuddle with your partner..Etc..Bathroom was also interesting... Door would not open completely due to the toilet blocking the swing of the door... So to use toilet, you needed to position yourself between door, Sink and toilet with the sink jutting into you as you sit on the "throne". But again, we would have returned if only the bed had not been such a ridiculous a arrangement... In my opinion, easy fix would be to join the frame of the two beds together... Not that bed could be split them into two singles anyway... Shame, cause the location was primo.
Comfortable stay, amazing coffee!!
I stayed here 4 nights. Initially my impression wasn't very good and it seemed to be a lodge but the staff was extremely polite and stay was very comfortable. One of the most amazing cappuccino I ever had was in this hotel or anyother place in Barcelona. Full marks for that.
Short but good stay
Stayed 1 night before traveling from Barcelona airport. Located in a great spot just 2 streets back from beach. Staff were super friendly and got breakfast organised early so we could get to airport. The rooms were small but clean.
