Stayed here for 2 nights as a base to do some driving in the Italian alps. Rooms are excellent, very modern and very clean. I think all rooms have a balcony and there was a great view from ours. Bathroom was big, clean, great shower. Shutters on all the windows which can be controlled from the bed, ensures a dark room and a great nights sleep. Sat out in the garden area the first night and had some drinks which was really nice, then went to the on site Pizzeria restaurant which was also very nice. Reasonable prices, 2 Pizzas, bottle of wine, bottle of water all for €38. Due to covid, the breakfast buffet is a bit cumbersome, the waiter is there to serve the queue, you can not serve yourself. When I went back to the restaurant area the table I was given was taken by someone else and had to wait to get another table prepared. I also had a bit of a problem with a twin room I requested, however the staff did their best to sort this out as quickly as possible and were very apologetic. The main area of town is about a 15/20 min walk away and is really nice. The drive from here to lake Garda taking in Lago D'Idro was spectacular. There is a second restaurant besides the Pizzeria which I didn't use. In conclusion, I would go back here and would recommend it highly. Regards Colm.

The staff in reception and dining area were amazingly good and attentive to our every need. The problem was with the cleaning staff. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly, despite some rain, the balcony wasn’t cleaned for 3 days, soap, shower caps weren’t replaced. On two occasions we had to go and look for staff to give us replacements, another time we called reception to send us some. There were no hangers in the cupboard

Presolana is a well situated town in the Bergamo area, within the Italian Alps. The Grand Hotel Presolana is a very good 4 star hotel with very clean and excellent rooms, having stunning mountain views all around. The staff and service are excellent and very friendly. It has its own complimentary parking area adjacent to the hotel. Within 100 yards of the hotel are stunning hiking trails through forest and mountains. Just a few minute drive away is the road leading to Monte Porah. Highly recommend the area and hotel.

I stayed for 6 nights as part of a Kosher group. The staff were very helpful and friendly from when we arrived until we left. The room was clean and modern. The electric shutters are brilliant if you want to sleep in as they keep the room pitch black. The downsides - was the slow WiFi and lack of air-conditioning as it was very warm a few days, although helpfully they brought us a plug in fan. I understand most hotels in the region don't have A/C due to being in the mountains. There was ample parking if you have your own car and no additional charge. There was no mini-bar, although there is a small fridge which came with complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water. We did not get a chance to use the pool or saunas etc.

We had a good stay at the Grand Hotel Presolana. We were there primarily because of the kosher program but found it to be a good base to explore the area. We were there for a week and did day trips to Verona, Bergamo, Lake Iseo and Lake Como. We also went on some great hikes in the area. The hotel itself is adequate (not luxurious but very clean and bright and friendly staff). We had a suite with two bedrooms which was very spacious although we had a view of the back of the building opposite and were right across from the back of the kitchen. Best to ask for a higher floor so that you get a better view. We were there with Eddies Tours who organized the kosher program. The food was amazing. Huge variety at every meal, delicious, and great desserts! Wonderful Israeli-style breakfasts. Restaurant staff were courteous and friendly.
