Location!!!! Location!!! Location!!!!
We loved that the outside of the place had such character! It is Sicilian & that is what we were going there to see- not stay at a Fancy generic hotel! This place was great- we had 3 adults & had room #1- it was CLEAN, had our own Bathroom, good hot water & pressure! Plenty of Towels, but we suggest walking to the market & getting big bottles of shower supplies like shampoo ,etc for like a euro! The beds were comfortable, the owners friendly & helpful, the employees from house keeping & our front desk, breakfast person Mr.David always had our breakfast, coffees, danish all made up fresh each day! They also had package stuff for on the go! Location - well it is in the heart of Catania!! We could walk to everything from the sights, markets, bank, food, coffee shops, ETC. Then restaurants are all over, but the one below was one we should have tried- it was very popular and looked & smelled wonderful! Loved that we has a balcony looking into the court yard, we could open a door. I would say this was a winner in the B & B category!!
Bombed area
I booked this bed and breakfast on booking.com and it seemed very nice. It did not show the outside of the buildings around the b&b. When me and my friend arrived we had to wait outside at least 15 mins before the owner arrived to open the b&b. My friend did not want to stay because she was scared therefore we asked for half of the money back but he said that he does not give refunds back. So we left without staying the night there. For a turist it might seem scary to sleep there because of the falling down buildings around it.
Very sweet hotel in the heart of Catania
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel at the end of July. The price was very reasonable so we did not expect a luxurious room. However the room exceeded expectations! It was very clean and nice decor. The receptionist was very friendly and answered all our queries. The breakfast was good as well. The nutella crossant was delicious ❤ the coffee order was mixed up sometimes but nothing too big (brought a cappuccino instead of white coffee ). All in all very happy with the service and i highly recommend this hotel :)
AcCatania / BB Graziella & a welcoming stay
Basic B&B, but with that extra touch of very helpful staff. Room was okay, a bit outdated, but cozy, with all essentials. The room was facing Via Etnea (I booked through Graziella, but this was a couple houses towards city center, which I didn't mind.) and there was a balcony& air conditioning. Even though the balcony was to bustling Via Etnea, it was quiet and nice, except first night when I didn't close the windows properly (tip ;) ). Breakfast was down in Icecafe Scardaci - simple and nice, but sweet in italian way (just so you know to mentally prepare, if used to salty breakkies) - try Brioche with granita! Other tips: down the road of Scorso Italia there is a foodstore called Simply. Airport shuttle 4€ - bus stop near the B&B. Interbus terminal is "hidden" near of railway station - you can buy tickets in their office or in the bus. Daytrips to recommend: Catania-Taormina took about an hour/way, 8,30€ return ticket. Catania-Syracusa an hours trip as well, 9,10€ return. Outlet Village in Enna, trip an hour, ticket 7,40€.Organized trip to Etna from 35€ to over a hundred, but the trips are very different - comparing is the key. Catania is perfect for staying as it is central. Nice beachlife in Naxos, AciCastello, Aci Reale, which are all very near.
Comfortable and Excellent Location
Stayed in Bed And Breakfast Graziella for a day use. Room was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi is free of charge. Bus to airport is just cross the road and Catania market including Via Etnea are just round the corner. recommended.
