We just returned home to USA from a wonderful family trip to Sicily. Our last night we stayed in Catania at Hotel Trieste. Hotel was alittle difficult to find, but once there we found it very accommodating. Easy walk to all sights around the block from the opera house and restaurants, and easy drive to airport. I would definitely return to Trieste, the innkeepers were very pleasant, helpful with recommendations for restaurants and so very kind to our small children. The hotel was very clean!

In the Center of the city close to all the attractions. It‘s a small family business run by two super friendly and helpful people! The rooms are big, clean and simple. We can highly recommend staying here.

Like Staying at Your Friend's Home

This very small hotel is in a great location, clean, simple, comfortable but it is the owners, Alicia and Giuseppe's hospitality that made our stay memorable. We enjoyed plenty of good conversation with them. We so welcomed talking with locales. They are very enthusiastic about Catania and Sicily. Because of their excellent recommendations about what to do and where to eat, we enjoyed some remarkable meals and thoroughly enjoyed Catania. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old city and everything within walking distance. No breakfast is served. We went to the nearby bakery, ate at the table in our room with coffee from the machine. The hotel entry, the building and furnishings, our hosts made us feel like we were in an average Sicilian's home. An authentic and enjoyable experience.

The hotel is run by a delightful couple (Alice and Giuseppe) who made our long weekend so special-we were part of a surprise group for Jan and her family's Sicily trip. Alice kindly let us put up many photos to surprise Jan (60th birthday) on arrival. Great weekend, nicely situated for the centre of Catania & excellent weather. There is some overnight noise from a nearby bar and road sweepers.

My favorite hotel during my Italian adventure. Alice and Guiseppe were so amazing and helpful. You could tell they loved their city and wanted to do everything possible for us to love their city too. When navigation set us off in the wrong direction after arriving in Catania by bus, Alice was so sweet to go out looking for us on foot. The hotel was quaint, clean and so centrally located that we couldn't have asked for anything more. Definitely going back to Catania and no questions, booking Hotel Trieste again! They're family now.
