Went to Iowa to visit family and Stayed at the Comfort Suits. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We spent a week here and it was very pleasant, the room was large and very comfortable. Everything was clean and sanitized, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. The room seem fairly quiet as the hotel occupancy seem to vary greatly while we but for the most part our room was quiet. The free breakfast seemed very good and there was plenty to chose from so no complaints there. I would definitely recommend this place and would like to Thank the staff for a pleasant experience.
Don't go for the pool

We planned my sons 10th birthday party here. Got an adjoined room, had a group of boys for swimming and overnight. The most important and key to the stay was the pool. I choose this hotel because it has a nice, large, open pool area that looked to accommodate our needs, as we also planned for pizza by the pool. Being in a hotel with a group of young boys, we needed the pool to help keep them entertained so they weren't running amok in the hotel or being too loud in the room. After an hour or so being at the pool, the kids started complaining that their eyes hurt and they couldn't breath, and they were coughing terribly. They all looked miserable. Even the adults who didn't swim were having issues with their eyes and breathing in there. Once the pizza arrived, the kids couldn't eat fast enough in anticipation of getting the heck out of there. What kids don't want to stay and swim?!? We inquired at the front desk the next morning about the chlorine levels in the pool, if maybe they had gone down from yesterday and would be "safer" to swim. We were told by maintenance staff that the mushroom waterfall thing is the cause of the issue. This is a feature that requires a button push to turn on the water that falls from a mushroom umbrella type structure and also shoots water from the bottom of the zero entry. They said the constant running of that (because kids push it again as soon as it shuts off) puts extra chemicals into the pool and air.
Okay, so that's fine I guess. But if it's a problem, work on the ventilation in that room; put a timer on the button that it can only run once every 30mins; or take it away all together. We were not the only ones complaining; there were other parents causing quite a scene at the front desk that night asking for a refund because their children were so sick from the pool. We made an attempt to swim again the next morning and from the moment we walked into the pool area the kids were like no way. The chemical smell and mist in the air is simply overwhelming. It was just unfortunate that they couldn't enjoy what we came there to do.
The rooms, however, were great. Very spacious and met our needs.
Great place to stay

Nice, clean renovated room. The pool area was very clean and maintained. Breakfast was a sack bag but we understand bc of Covid. Everyone was friendly but the lady (Mary I believe) who helped us make the reservation and checked us in was extremely friendly. We need more Marys in the world!

My family got together for late Christmas gathering. Cedar Falls being the 1/2 way point for 2 families meeting. We had two rooms that the staff accommodated us by having adjoining rooms. Spacious rooms with a couch microwave small refrigerator and large bathrooms. For breakfast they had complimentary bar scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and also your traditional continental breakfast items. All fresh and good very affordable hotel that is pet friendly. We had a maintenance issues in our room and they responded fast and were willing to move us, but we declined. When we meet again we will return.
Exceptional Family Outing

We spent New Year’s eve here with our three grand children, ages two, three, and five, and we could not have found a better place! The walk-in pool and large lounge area around the pool were ideal for good old-fashioned family fun. Our room had a king size bed and a pull out couch and plenty of extra space to go around. Our Littles enjoyed the breakfast and so did their grandparents :-) Staff was friendly thru many interactions from check-in to checkout! Did I mention the entire property was exceptionally clean and allowed pets?
