In response to Dr J Talley
I can not disagree with you more. I have been a guest at the Chalet Inn & Suites annually for the past 20 years. Donna and all of her staff are friendly warm people. Their top priority is the comfort and well being of each and every one of their guests. I highly recommend the Chalet Inn & Suites to all travelers.
Beware of Donna the manager...
All I can say is this woman Donna who is the manager you are ruthless down right cold and evil and cares nothing more about her money. During the whole pandemic situation she forced me out and was very argumentative in the lobby after I had told her about me situation with my job- she simply responded back as that was not her problem and that she did not want to continue to take my money but when I paid for the last week after she called my hotel room at 8am abruptly. This woman was down right cruel and since she only cared about money or how she would get paid for just one day that was missed this woman blandly has issues and all I can say is you reap what you sow. I will never recommend no one stay at this crappy motel, they have nothing more than a bunch of carbs and fatty foods for breakfast which they restrict you from a good balanced diet. Corn muffins? You are better off not even providing breakfast!
Good place to bump uglies
TBH this is a step above the Comack motor inn. It gives you the impression that you are in a classy place when you ignore the roaches and cracks in the walls and stuff. It's a safe distance from the trashy centerport people, and they seem to know not to go there.
We got a little less than what I paid for
The room smelled really moldy when we entered...sink was stopped up.Everything else was relatively clean. No microwaves anywhere in the hotel...so there's no point in putting a fridge in the room.Front desk coffee was very good. Mike the front desk guy was friendly and a good conversationalist...Pretty waterfront beside property. It's close to Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium, Huntington downtown and Huntington beach and marina.
Keep returning
Love this place. Perfect location away from the congestion of all things south of 25A. This time we enjoyed the geese, not their poop, but you can't train them! Owner is very knowledgeable as well as a writer and poet.
