Traumatic Experience

Reviewed 30 may, 2021

We chose Anika since we heard they use used container vans for their rooms. We thought that was epic. As environmentalists, this made us curious. My brother and family too stayed there before and said that their kids loved the pool. On May 24, my birthday, my husband and I wanted to already check-in based on the reservation we have with booking.com. They told us in the reception that we’re booked in their sunset twin room with two separate beds. Surprised, I said I have already modified that to garden queen room and that I got a confirmation as I showed them the booking.com file. They said that they did not receive that modification and they can only give me the sunset room as they are fully-booked. They said it’s the fault of the booking.com and they can’t do anything about it. I told them to contact Booking.com but they were unhelpful and uncaring. When we spoke to the manager, he even said why is it such a big deal that the beds are separate which I retorted that this was not the issue. The issue is why aren’t we given what we have reserved? To this he said something like we can only offer you the sunset room and hung up. Hubby and me found this very insulting that we told the receptionists that we were cancelling and hurriedly walked away under the scorching heat of the sun to look for another resort. Ten minutes later, while still walking to find another resort, we got a text from our bank that Anika already deducted the amount for the first night. Vile, isn’t it? We have contacted booking.com right away to assist us and they have been very responsive. Thankfully, we were able to find a much better, friendlier resort (Sta. Fe Beach Club) that more than made up for the trauma we got from the other resort.

A great place to spend your time in Bantayan Island. Powder white sand and prestine turquoise water best showcased here.

Lovely beach front with a great view of the sunrise. I appreciate how they keep the place clean and they are mindful about the whole pandemic protocols. Nice, clean rooms. *no free breakfast *no wifi at all while we were there *no drinking water supply/bottles in the rooms though you can ask at the restaurant for free. *no water heater and utensils for coffee/tea. TIPS: bring your own if you like having your coffee early in the morning, kitchen opens at 6:30 am. *small rooms but nice and clean. *vault in our room not working, when I checked on the batteries, all rusted. *all food ordered and delivered to the room will be charged an additional 20%. TIP: order at the restaurant then wait for your order there, bring your orders to your room or the beach front or wherever yourself to save on the 20% additional fee for room service.

I've not arrived yet and already I have problems

I made a booking with agoda and received no confirmation so I contacted the hotel directly they furnished me with a copy of the confirmation but no QR code I don't know what this is but apparently you need it on arrival. The person on reception paid me scant regard and just kept telling me to contact agoda which I couldn't do as "my booking reference does not exist".The contact us page offers 4 telephone numbers not one of them had the courtesy to reply to my messages. The person on reception who's name was REY was terribly unhelpful and poorly versed in English to the point I didn't understand his answers or indeed which question he/she was answering. We requested 2 single beds as we are father and son but apparently this a special request and this hotel does not entertain special requests I think this REY guy had the temerity to suggest book a further 2 rooms one for me one for my son such was his bad English it was difficult to determine what he meant and he was loathe to clarify which. So shortly we will leave home with no QR CODE to stay in an hotel that obviously cares nothing for its customers, our vacation is in tatters to start with I suggested they make up a bed on the floor but even that seems troublesome for them

Amazing stay

It's our first time to visit Northern part of Cebu. We found this place through tripadvisor. It's really an Ideal place to stay for a getaway and friendly staff. Beach is life 🏖️😅 and I will surely be back with my friends.

Very good option in Santa Fe

Reviewed 14 march, 2020

Location- Beautiful beachfront location 5 minutes drive from Santa Fe shops etc. Very quiet area away from the main tourist part of town. Better for families. At high tide the ocean swimming area at the front of the hotel gives Boracay a run for its money in terms of white sand and clear water (minus the overcrowding of course)! Facilities- Simple no fuss rooms with very generous covered outdoor areas attached to each room. The resort also has a generous dining area and nice pool. Rooms have good air con, tv, safe and hot water. Unfortunately no in-room coffee making facilities and a fridge cost extra to rent. Otherwise, a clean, well kept room. Service- Our second time here and same as first time the staff are exceptional. Everyone has a smile and goes about their job with a professional approach. Unfortunately, due to ongoing transit issues with the covid19 outbreak we had to cut our stay very short! To say we were devastated is an understatement! We are counting the days until we can return to enjoy it in all its glory.
