North Sky Beach Resort

We stayed her with a family of 4 for 7 days on a recent trip to the Philippines. If you ever stayed outside the city in Cebu you know what to expect so expectations we not hi. That said the good things were, clean rooms, a nice pool, accommodating people,a nice view, clean grounds and easy access from main road. Things they can improve. We stayed in 2 different rooms. Satellite TV service did not work at all in 1 room due to a loose wire which I fixed. The second room had very poor satellite signal and hardly any stations came it which worked fine in the other room after I fixed the cable. Each room has a separate satellite dish so room 2 probably needs adjustment. There is NO WiFi on the resort. There is a signal from a router but no service behind it. They saw "it's slow". It's not slow, it just doesn't exist. Free breakfast was only 1 choice and the only thing that changed each day was the meat. So 1 egg, 1 scoop of rice and a small meat portion. No variety. I would consider staying again but there are new facilities being built next door that I will check out next time.

I had the need to be in the area of this resort for a funeral, so it was very convenient from that aspect, and was fine for a no frills short stay. It was a confusing place in some respects. On walking down the drive, you see beautifully well kept grounds and pool, and you even see a nice looking façade of the rooms, but then you enter the room, and apart from being extremely basic, the rooms are very 1960ish. Specifically, there are no safes in the rooms, and the en-suite shower cubicle and it's workings are very old. I noted that the plastic shower curtain was disgustingly filthy with mould, and these need to be removed ASAP ! I also noted that the hot water was turned off early each of my first 2 nights, so a hot shower after a long day was never going to happen. I mentioned this to a member of staff, and I had hot water on the 3rd night. Breakfast was unpalatable to say the least. No buffet, no ordering from a menu, simply here is your breakfast, which on the first morning, consisted of a fried egg, rice, and a blob of disgusting Spam. The breakfast was the same on the 2nd morning, so I didn't have it. I just had coffee. (also disgusting 3 in 1 stuff) On the 3rd morning, I didn't bother at all ! Nice enough place for a short stay, but you wouldn't choose the place if you had a choice. Wifi was free, and staff were friendly enough. I saw no evidence of housekeeping in my 3 days, and indeed, my room was not touched from check in to check out. With a few changes, they could have something really good. I hope it improves for future guests ! It was easy enough to find on the Central Nautical Highway.

We had a great time here. The pool is relaxing and pretty well kept for the price. The room is simple, but the verranda fabolous. It is a simple hotel with simple breakfast but staff is good and the sea just outside. Dinner options in the area is very few, lucky for the simple burger place around the corner. Also lucky for the small shos a stone throw away to get your good beer. We stopped here as a half way stop on the way to Bantayan, and except for dining options in the area we where very satisfied as of the price. Closest "ral" restaurant is Borussia German restaurant. Strangely Geman except only non alcoholic beer... We had the burger twice with beer from next door shop. All great

Place is near the main road finding it would not be hard. The place has a nice pool and rooms but the beach dont expect much. They do offer breakfast but its not that good. Its a good place to visit with your family. Ask for a room on the second floor with a balcony.

Did a 2 hour walk about with lunch. Some good things are available for overnight or day use. Cabanas with cooking stations. The pool was clean and inviting with a slide. Kiddie pool adjacent. We had a good lunch at the restaurant. Staff was pleasant. Will return soon.
