Beautiful old chateau with a friendly owner We stayed one night and had 3 rooms Dilapidated condition inside We were given rooms on 2nd floor and in the attic Dirty and worn, carpets in bathrooms very dated and dirty We would have left but arrived too late to find anywhere else, worst hotel I’ve ever used Avoid this hotel.

Lovely Retreat in the Tours Hills

Reviewed 20 august, 2021

Our stay was too short at only 1 evening but the hospitality was excellent, the chateau classically yet warmly appointed and we found the owner charming, disarming and fun! The grounds are lovely with a serviceable pool, plentiful parking and pretty vistas. A short drive from Tours, the location is easy off the main roads. We would definitely recommend 1-3 nights at this classic French chateau!

Perfect visit

Currently at the Chateau. The owner is a truly wonderful, empathetic lady. I said that the Chateau was perfect and she replied that no-one can be perfect. However this is the perfect experience. Beautiful grounds and authentic building with an idyllic swimming pool. Yes, she right it isn’t perfect. There is some painting/maintenance required - however in our view this helps the authenticity. It is important to have the lovely building, clean spacious room with a concerned and extremely helpful host, willing to provide details of local restaurants etc. The imperfections (to us) make it perfect.

A stellar place to spend a holiday

Reviewed 8 july, 2019

The rooms of the Château are the size of small apartments, breakfast is good, it’s close to a big and beautifully city, and the hostess, Madame de Lussac, is an absolute terrific woman who’s more than happy to help with anything from finding a restaurant to paying any parking tickets you might acquire while in the nearby city of Tours

Wonderful Castle Accommodations!

Reviewed 11 october, 2018

The accommodations were superb and our Hostess Madame was just wonderful. She made us quite comfortable and welcome. She was very helpful with restaurant and castle reccomendations. The breakfast laid out every morning was beautiful and delicious! The rooms were exquisitely decorated and quite comfortable. Charming and delightful.
