Perfect spot, lovely hotel.

If you're looking for a perfect, quiet and beautiful spot, you have found it. The hotel is very nice and very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful, clean and big pools overlooking the beach. The view is stunning. B'fast isn't copious but there is enough choice if you aren't fussy. Rooms lack a little of light and could do with an airer if you have a room with no balcony which was our case. As a result towel etc. don't really dry very well. Overall, it was a very nice stay and would definitely recommend. Very good value.

Comfortable, friendly and right on the beach. Everything needed for a relaxing few days. The restaurant on the beach La Paillotte was excellent, great pizza and seafood and an excellent location for drinks.
Pricey and lack of attention to detail

OK, so August in Corsica is never cheap so my issues with the price are not about value for money for a well run hotel at this level. But this is not well run. It had plenty enough features for a 3-star hotel - pool, air-con, parking, restaurant etc. No complaints there. It's just that the quality of housekeeping, service and welcome was not what I'd expect for a €150 per night room-only hotel at any level whether 2-star or 5-star. No one issue was enough to complain about - so I didn't. But added together, there are enough reasons for me not to return. The glass shower screen showed signs of long-term dirt at the bottom, the panel under the sink was chipped and damaged but had been replaced and ignored, the outside wall next to the pool had had a drainpipe removed but the holes had obviously been left there for ages, the paint was peeling off the hotel name on the roof, the toilet in the room was not attached to the floor properly. Also, used plates around the pool were left outside in the sun for more than 4 hours. We also used the beach-side restaurant. Lovely location and ambience but the food was not worth the prices and the service was terrible - and there were only 4 tables in use! The chicken on the ceasar salad was basically kids chicken nuggets from the freezer! Reception staff were always polite, but showed none of the warmth we experienced pretty much everywhere else in Corsica. One night, arriving back at the hotel at 11pm to a full car park, I parked near the front door and was moved on within 30 seconds by the owner. The next night? His own €70,000 Mercedes was parked in that exact spot. As I said, there we no big issues or complaints - it's just felt like they don't really care about the hotel or their guests. If this was cheap and cheerful I wouldn't have written this review - but it wasn't.

This is maybe not the best choice of location at Easter time. There is not much to do around here at this time of the year. We choice this because we thought there would be a flea market nearby on Easter Sunday. It was announced on the web, but as far as we could see it never took place. This is a beach hotel and might be excellent during the summer. We stayed there only two weeks after it had opened after the winter. Our room smelled pretty bad of mold. When we complained about this we were immediately given another room that did not have this problem. We had a good night's sleep. We did not eat in the hotel, so we cannot comment on their food. The staff was friendly and helpful. Internet was slow, but that is a problem in nearly every hotel. It still escapes me why hotels are unable to give their guests an internet service that is similar to what you are used to from home or from the office. It is annoying that one has to log in over and over again.
